Fantastic teaching
I have found this podcast so helpful. I'm not a particularly great reader & often times first thing in the morning or after work, my brain has trouble both reading & fully processing deeper thought. This podcast has helped me so much in hearing the word when I feel like I won't absorb anything through reading. I love Ps John's teaching which is the kind of 'tough love' you often need! His heart in delivering his messages is so beautiful.
Only suggestion to improve the app is to devise a way of marking the ones you've listened to as 'heard' & sorting between 'heard' & 'unheard'....Show lessaeeeeeeeeeeeee
Love this app
I love this app. I respect John piper and I appreciate this ministry. I have lots of questions and I think deeply. I love that I can search and listen to all these biblical answers on topics and doing life. I recommend that everyone get it.
The one thing I wish it had though was a place to save them. Maybe to save them into a 'favorites section. Or into a 'watch later' section. I'll search for something and find four or five that I want to get to but can't get to them all right away then later I'll forget all the ones I had wanted to listen to.Show lessJadesam
Excellent quality content for life, room for improvement
App design is solid. It would be helpful if it had a longer memory of where I was in an episode.
Content-wise, overall this is life-enriching good stuff that tackles some tough questions - very helpful. Some feedback: guest speakers are ok, I realize it's "Ask," but considering it's asked to "Pastor John," I would vote for clips of him preaching, or recording a batch of episodes beforehand, to cover his absences, rather than so many guests.
Also, I have asked questions several times that I have never heard answered in nearly 1,000 episodes. Not even an email response, just a black box. Would love to see more openness and less selectivity in addressing sincere questions.Show lessBRINKwerks
Great App, Christ-Exalting Wisdom
This is a beautifully designed app that is functional, easy to use, and has become a daily part of my life as I love to hear Pastor John address various listener-submitted questions in a Gospel-centered, Christ-exalting way. The app is set up so that you can easily go back and listen to any past episodes as well. And all of this is, like most of the content at Desiring God, completely free of charge. Inspiring words interwoven with solid godly instruction
I have truly enjoyed listening to this podcast from day one. Jesus is both building me up and demolishing ungodly theology in me through listening to this podcast. As for usability, the app is easy to operate and navigate, Including ease of use for voiceover users. It's only flaw that I see thus far, is that the search results are not accessible to voiceover Users. Amazing
Such a great app! To be able to search keywords and hear different questions answered that I've been struggling with is so helpful. Questions that go beyond the basic stuff like dealings with social media and technology. John Piper has a great way of explaining things as well as giving useful tips on how to implement them in your life. I can listen to this for hours, and it's great first thing in the morning, before I get out of bed. Gets my mind focused on Jesus and prepared for whatever comes my way.Show lessIke diggy
