App is fine but customer support behind it is third world
Response from developer
Hello! Let us clarify that through our app you can find a suitable flight. Then we redirect you to the websites of ticket agencies and airlines, where you make and complete the booking. As far as we understand, you paid for the order through an agency and also communicated with its support, not ours. This is how the buying process works: the seller sends money to the airline and then provides you with tickets. So to return it, you need to request a refund from the agency, while the agency needs to receive the payment from the airline itself. Please send us your ticket via any social network or in-app feedback form if you have not received a refund. We will check what went wrong.

Hello! We want to help you figure it out. Let us clarify that our service does not change the booking parameters. After searching with WayAway, you go to the agency or airline website to make and pay for the booking. We don't have phone support either. As we understand, you communicated with the ticket seller. For better understanding the situation and finding out why the airline changed and the seller's support did not help you, please share with us your itinerary receipt and screenshots of correspondence with the company. You can contact us by email support@wayaway.io.

Hello there! We are sorry you had such experience and the plans were messed up. We'd like to clarify that we don't have a phone number. If we understood correctly, you have contacted the seller of the ticket (an agency or an airline). The ticket could not be sent if the airline did not confirm the availability of seats at the selected fare. In this case, the seller issues a refund, because it is no longer possible to issue a ticket at the old cost. If you don't receive the refund within the specified time, please contact us using the feedback form: https://i.wway.io/fa4whm (at the bottom of the page). We will advise you how to proceed in such case.
Be careful!!!

Hello! First of all, we don't call our clients. When you are buying a ticket, we redirect you to a website. The website belongs either to an airline, or to a ticket agency. That's there you fill up all of the necessary information, including your card details. That means that Wayaway isn't involved in the process of payment. Furthermore, we do not receive most of the information from your booking, such as a phone number. Only the seller knows it. And that's who you were talking to. Secondly, the price changing after a booking is normal, it happens sometimes. The fare availability is checked twice – when you’re redirected to the partner’s website and when you pay. The availability check at the payment stage is in place so as not to charge the customer the wrong amount. Some agencies, for example Smartfares, don’t even guarantee the price after payment. The customer pays for their ticket, gets a booking confirmation stating that their ticket will be issued in around 24 hours, and then they get another email saying that the ticket price has gone up and that the customer has to pay extra! Smartfares often get complaints for this, however this condition is written in their terms of use, which is why it’s always worth checking the seller’s terms and conditions.

Hello! WayAway doesn't sell tickets. It’s a service which finds the best flight options, but you pay for them through agencies and airlines. We don't call our clients since we don't sell tickets. Thank you so much for the detailed review and high rate! At that moment, it is possible only to set an alert for a flight on a specific date or for a specific ticket. In the future we are planning to expand the functionality of alerts, so we will think about adding such an option ✈💙

Hello! We don't have a phone number, but you can ask us on any social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) or here: https://i.wway.io/fa4whm.
This is a scam app that supports very bad business practices.
The developer Aviasales does not accept responsibility for the unethical business practices of their partners, claiming to only be a search engine. However, despite this they still act in bad faith as they continue to allow their users to be taken by bait and switch practices.
What everyone else has already stated is absolutely true, they get you with a low price, and then when you “purchase” said ticket it’s not actually a “purchase” at all, it’s a “reservation” in which they will tell you that the ticket prices have suddenly jumped $100+.
I will be filing a complaint with Visa and JP Morgan Chase against both this developer and the service I got my tickets from. And will see how that goes before I escalate my grievance further.

Hello! We do not wind up positive reviews. Every comment about our service is real. It doesn't matter if it's positive or negative. All our partners before joining the search are subject to enhanced verification — at the financial, technological and legal levels. Therefore, it is impossible to go to fraudulent sites through our website and application. Most likely, the seller gave us outdated data on the availability of tickets for this fare. And at the time of booking, there were simply no more seats at that price, which is why the cost of tickets increased. When you search for tickets, we send a request to partner agencies and airlines. And they make a request to centralized ticket booking systems. Agencies and airlines don't make a request every time someone is looking for tickets. They store in memory the data that they received for exactly the same request, say, half an hour ago, and transmit this data to us. If you are trying to buy a ticket, then they have to make a booking request. And the system may answer that there are no more tickets (especially if the tickets are cheap — they are quickly sold out). This doesn't happen very often, but it does happen. And you don't have to pay extra for bookings. To get started, just contact us. And we can tell you what to do next. You can always write to us at contact@jetradar.com. And we are available 24/7.
