Thanks so much for making this game available. Still one of the best designed and executed games I've ever played and I've played a lot. Minor bug report- on multiplayer hairdelis doesn't respond upon completing the astral plane so your stuck there. Peace outTyerh
Amazing game
This game is incredible! There are a couple of minor bugs (nothing game breaking, though don't click on Boo!), and you need to make sure you save before minimising, but OMG, it's the best RPG ever, and it's on iPad!
In terms of DLC: yes, there are in-app purchases. It's $12 for everything, not an indefinite amount of micro transactions. This allows people who want to play the original to do so without the new characters; it also allows people to buy the game for $15 and not $25.
In terms of gameplay: it is stable for as long as you don't switch apps on an iPad air, and it runs as smoothly as silk. I assume most people reading this know how awesome the game is, so I don't need to mention 200 hours and more of gameplay, and some of the deepest npc's written for an RPG?
There are improvements that can be made. The dialogue us sometimes difficult to select - if the developers could implement something similar to KOTOR's system, that would help. It's also quite difficult to buy or sell stacks of items at once - improving the double click would help, here. But these are minor issues, and the game is great.

There's nothing else like Baldur's Gate on the App Store, it's supremely engaging and hasn't lost any of the charm that made it so endearing the first time around.

Aerie Circus Tent BUG FIX
Ok, after giving a knee jerk review of 1 star due to the Aerie bug, I've taken a step back, searched some forums and you need to cast dispel magic and it will kill the instakill werewolves immediately. Drink a speed potion if they're continually killing you...Finally got past it, and now bringing this back to the five stars that it deserves. Sorry Trent and gang, but crazy this wasn't picked up on the first day of testing. Soooo basically, best rpg ever made, made better (bugs permitting) by Beamdog! Does not get better
The single greatest game ever created is now available in a mobile format. An absolute steal for the price, Baldur's Gate 2 remains the finest example of RPG gameplay and strong, fantasy narrative. This was the pinnacle of Black Isle's collective career and Beam Dog have more assuredly stepped forward to add content in as much the same vein as possible. Game writing does not come finer and gameplay is not more technical or more satisfying. Take the time to read and learn and put aside that desire for instant gratification. crashes, bad UI and fraudulent description
The app description claims that the game includes the new characters but 3 of them are in-app purchases!!! Disgusting.
The attempts to convert a mouse interface to tablet are almost non-existent. How about some tooltips and radial menus?
And worst of all the game crashes every 5 to 10 minutes. Guessing they haven't quite figured out how to fit the game into iPad 1 memory.
Fix these and it would be 5 stars because it's Baldur's Gate 2.Show lessGuntharpo

This game was created long time ago for PC and now it's been improved and adapted for us on iPad! Because it's not your usual MOBILE game with 1-7 hours tops of unique game play and loads of money pulling technics, it will entertain you for many days and even months! This is totally a *Must Have* RPG game. All other mobile games will look tiny compared to this giant! Btw, you are buying complete original game + all add-ons.
In-game purchases is just a way to say "thank you" and they only offer some additional characters to add to your party.Show lessKamiChai
