Very good app
It helps me a lot with memorizingReally helpful
I downloaded this 3 days ago but have found it really useful for capturing good pronunciation and rhythm.Buggy (I think)
I love this app however it’s a bit buggy
1. After downloading the upgrade I am now getting the wrong translation.
Fix: reboot
2. Voice record stop playback feature after a few uses.
Fix: TBDReview
There are some words that aren’t accurate but considering it’s free it’s pretty good.Shame
Great at first but realised it doesn’t work for the words after the basic ones. All of the words translated are wrongLove this app!
Works perfectly. The words are sticking and I’m hooked. Hard to find a good tool to learn Sinhala, this one is great.Brilliant
I rarely review apps but this one is just so great.
Nothing fancy, but just really effective. The main mode is basically a type of flash card memorisation game, introducing new cards only after you’ve repeated the previous ones many times, and it really has worked for me.
I have an upcoming holiday to Sri Lanka and even with just what’s included in the free version i think I’ll be well equipped, as the phrases included are the ones I can imagine needing the most. Great!Show lessIncorrect translations
We have shown this to Sinhala speaking friends and they laughed at the words used. Some are way too formal and never used.Love
Love this app. Need more words! Possibly songs? Movies ..Fantastic App/Married to a Sri Lankan
My husband wickedly never wanted me to learn Sinhala, and also showed no effort to teach our baby. He was unpleasantly surprised one day when he heard me accurately pronouncing the words to teach our daughter and by how many words I learned so fast.
The app by default, starts off with words I typically use most when meeting people who are native to this language (which I find useful.) It just seems like a great place to start.
Second, the best features are the speed adjustments you can make, in the speed of the voice, and when testing your knowledge - the speed of the next card to appear, you can make them slow, fast or whatever you like.
There’s also an option of how many words you want to set it to teach you everyday. This feature is displayed nicely at a screen which is easily accessible to adjust.
The price is also not so bad for the full version.
My advice for the developer is to put the settings button on each screen because it makes go too many screens back to get to it.
Second, please put the Sinhala alphabet, or else there’s no way to make sense of the words you have there in Sinhala letters.Show less
