Because the individual alphabet is not taught, it is probably not the best way to learn to read and write Sinhala. However, it's a great app for learning to converse; much better than any other Sinhala resource I have found. The paid version ($9.99) is something I will purchase.Your face

I needed to learn Sinhala and there are not a great deal of resources. But this app is great - I've learnt a lot very easily - and I've been told my pronounciation is good - using the apps audio.HappiNessNewton

Holiday booked, lonely planet purchased now to learning basics.... Great app! Phonetic spelling and audio pronunciation. A few minutes at bedtime or a couple of minutes while waiting in a queue or on the bus. Easy and convenient. Def recommendation!justnatty

I love this app!! It gives you sinhala in english letters so its easy if you havent learnt their letters yet.. And says it out loud aswell! The nemo cards are great for learning. This is the best language app there is!!Jealousalice4
Amazing but not the spoken language.
If you want to learn how to write in Sinhala as for school etc then this app is great. But this app only teaches you the written language. If you want to learn how to speak with locals, this wouldn't Be the best start ...
