Trash

This app is trash. I don’t receive “notifications” when my kids account runs low after setting it to give me alerts for when my kids account’s fall below the 10$ setting I selected. I only receive notifications when opening this crappy app to check the balance; which comes at a phone call from my kid at school to ask me to put money onto the account. It’s incredibly inconvenient and inefficient and I don’t like it at all. To add, I don’t like that the school forces us to use it either!

Hate this app

The school district touted this app as a wonderful change from the previous system but it’s terrible. It’s seems the only good thing about it is that you can apply for free or reduced lunch through it🤷🏼‍♀️ But you have to click three buttons in order to login every time. THREE. Login, ok, login. WHYYYY??? Also, there’s no way to print out a monthly calendar. So instead of my children being able to look at a printed out monthly version, every day I have to click the login button three times and then click more buttons to see what is for lunch that day. And then half the time the menu doesn’t even show up to see what’s for lunch. And more often than not, my kids come home saying they had something different than what was on the app. Quite useless if you ask me.

Worst app ever!!!

It is 2023 and I just can’t believe this is the best we can do with a meal account app!! Titan selling out to LINQ connect was horrible!! Definite downgrade from Titan to LINQ!! Titan gave real time notifications via text and or email that you can actually manage. The layout and simplicity of the app great. LINQ connect is the most frustrating app to use. Nothing is actually manageable. My son enjoys the school lunches and it is definitely easier but I dont even want to deal with this app. And don’t bother emailing their support, you won’t get a response.

12 Clicks to see what’s for lunch the next day

It takes so long to retrieve the lunch menu on this app that I have to screenshot all the days of the week so I don’t have to go back to it.

Just logging in takes several clicks, it doesn’t have “today” scrolled into view, and defaults to breakfast.

Finding account history is difficult, and once you find it, there nothing to click on, and the only visible columns are the date and child name. Turning the phone horizontally will show that there are additional columns with the purchase info, that could have been scrolled to, but there is nothing on the screen indicating that you can scroll.

I don’t understand how this app could have been released in this state, and I get frustrated every time I try to use it.

Not an MVP

Somehow they were able to sell this product to my school district. I’m guessing my district never tried to use the service, they must has saw dollar signs only and knew they would save money. This state of this app is not even beta. I’m not sure how it even made it through App Review. It is a chore to use. This app is bad. Now, I believe it can be made better, I totally support that, but changing the Filter button to an icon instead of text is not the changes we need that improve the app.

Here is a list of todos: 1. The login needs to be remembered. 2. My selected school(s) need to be remembered. 3. I need an easy export of the lunch calendar for the month. 4. The month view should show a grid calendar view, like every calendar you’ve ever seen. Or at least scroll into view the selected day so I’m not left guessing.

Let’s get to it.

Please do better!

Not user-friendly, as noted in other reviews. Logging in is tiresome after forcing users to click several buttons before finally getting in. I use the app primarily to check school breakfast and lunch menus for my children at two different schools, and the app already had me jumping through several hoops to make that happen. A new update recently removed the, “Filter,” button, which allowed switching between breakfast and lunch menus. Now, I can’t even check that! All I can access is the default breakfast menu. Thankfully, the two schools my children attend use the same menu but I still can’t see what’s for lunch! Awkward and useless save for recharging their accounts, and it appears the auto-recharge feature doesn’t auto-recharge! Given the fees, you would think some of that money and would go towards hiring more experienced developers.

This app/website is laughable

So many things about this app. Did anyone even test it? If having to login every time I open the app wasn’t bad enough, there’s no easy way to see the school menu. That’s literally all I need from this app and it’s tucked away in the sidebar menu even after I login. Then I click on the menu and it defaults to breakfast. So it’s like 6-7 taps before I can see what’s for lunch.

And now the lunch filter is completely gone. So I have no idea what my kid’s school is serving for lunch. But hey, at least they’ve made it easy to add money. I miss Nutrislice.

Useless

This app used to be pretty simple to use and now it’s completely the opposite. I have an account but there’s no actual login function. You can only register for a new account, which is not what I want to do since I already have an account with money attached to it.

I’m unable to see how much is in the account or add more funds. In its current state I would give it less than 1 star if I could.

And the star rating system doesn’t even work

Makes you login every time

Update: You have to click “login” like 3 times but it seems like you’re already logged in because I never actually have to enter my credentials. What is happening there? It doesn’t make sense.

Also, please just move the breakfast/lunch filter to the main page. It shouldn’t be hidden behind the filters and it shouldn’t reset when I change schools. I’m just checking the menu to B see if I need to pack my kids lunch this week or not.

Lastly, the monthly calendar should be set to the current week and not the beginning of the month. If it’s the end of the month you have to scroll horizontally all the way to the current week to change the date!

P.S. Please remove the message pop up that you put up at the beginning of the school-year. We saw the message already, we don’t need to keep seeing it — unnecessary extra click!

This is not a true app. It makes you login every time. That defeats the purpose of it being an app at all. You’re better off just bookmarking the website than downloading the “app” and wasting space on your phone.

Who picks these?

I don’t understand why my school district chose this garbage app for telling us what’s for lunch. It should be a quick thing of open the app, see the lunch menu. But instead, I have 10 button taps I have to do before I get to the lunch menu every single time. After opening the app, gotta click through their useless welcome pop up every time. Then login every time, then click the apps menu, click school menu, click the one school I have associated with it, and then filter out to lunch because it defaults showing pre-k snack for some reason. And theeeeen I click out of that menu and finally I can see the only reason I opened the app and see the lunch menu. Haaaaaate this awful app.
