Gay hookup app pretending to be a friends app
If Bumble actually wants this to be for finding friends they need to remove all the gay guys using it to find “straight” guys to hookup with. Also way too much emphasis on appearance which doesn’t matter that much for friends. Really lays bare how useless these swiping apps are for finding any kind of relationship whether it be friends or romantic.Show lesspolargus

I’ve been using this app for over half a year now with no issues and in the last few days, it’s been crashing when I try and open it… I can’t even access the app to log out of my account and delete the app! Really really frustrated as people probably think I’m ignoring them!!tashytoodles16

My app is crashing and I am unable to login to my account I don’t know why.
This is frustrating because I had a plans to see my friends and we were only on the app and now I am unable to open the app.

I installed the app, logged in through Apple ID, and sat watching the next loading screen for 5 minutes. Uninstalled and reinstalled and logged in again, and that time it also was stuck at the first loading screen after hitting “sign in with Apple ID”Raisinmouse

This app has gone down the thrash hole since they got rid of the community chats and separated bff from dating. Tried to sign up and can’t get past the page to add photos. Tried 5 times in the span of 3 months. Even reached out for help and heard nothing back. I miss the old bumble, screw this appaawphoenix

The app won’t let me upload any photos. It won’t load my photos when I press add photos it just is ‘loading’ for a long time with three dots and says ‘go to settings’ in my settings I have allowed all my photos to be accessed to BFF and I’ve reset my phone a number of timesYin Yan Yo

Signed up enthusiastically at first then noped out quick.
Pretty open about meeting friends online for stuff like hiking and sports (especially when somewhere new) so would love something like this but the divided genders kills it. As a guy, the app just feels like it’s a low-key option for non-out gay guys to connect (quick Google search seems to confirm this too).
I appreciate what they’re going for to connect friends and even why they want to divide genders (to keep girls from getting blasted by notifications from dudes that “just want to be friends *wink*”) but looks like the end results is the same “*wink* situation” but only gay/lesbian which runs off people just looking for actual friends which then reinforces the perception as a “friends app but not really for friends” app.Show lessCommentcard222

The app is practically a knock off version of the bumble dating app but dating for strictly friends. Platonic relationships is what I'm looking for and nothing more. I'm giving it only 2 stars because you should be able to talk to opposite genders, what is the point of designing a app and only being forced to talk to only one gender only? We all are adults here. I don't know who's foolish idea when designing the app because IRL we all have male & female relationships. Also some people on the app are dry and not genuine in meeting people In real life. They can't hold a conversation or except you to keep carrying the conversation so I'm constantly un matching with ppl because of it . Friendship works two ways. They definitely should change the gender rule in future designs, I think it will gravitate more people.Show lessMicks1031
