Won’t Connect

Was an okay baby monitor app but now won’t connect to the monitor. I’ve tried turning the monitor off and on, resetting the router and deleting and redownloading the app. Nothing is working.

To reset your device, please follow these steps: 1: Go to the settings in the parent unit. 2: Run the factory reset. 3: The parent unit will then directly connect to the camera. 4: Redo the add camera procedure from the App to scan the parent unit QR code. So slow

The camera is great but this app is SO SLOW. Turning on and off the night light takes minutes at a time. Or changing the color or turning any other setting on and off honestly. And sometimes it doesn’t even work. Honestly wouldn’t recommend this camera due to the terrible app.

Motion recording

I’ve only had the camera for 5 months and after month 3 the app doesn’t record clips anymore so there’s no playback I’ve tried refreshing the app and even uninstalling it and reinstalling it still nothing.

Not sure how to feel

Great picture but the longer I’ve had the app the more unsatisfied I’ve become. Now it does not show me the saved clips of babies movement. Sometimes it won’t even load the video feed. The app does not give you information on your baby’s sleep like I was led to believe from the App Store and was very excited about. Often says can’t connect to camera and I have to reopen the app.

Fantastic camera, app needs an update

I absolutely love this camera unit. The monitor is very clear and I love the above the crib mount. However the sleep analysis and the video rewind have stopped working for the last few months so I believe the app needs a update

Glitchy

The camera is great, but when pulling up the controls to move the camera around, it ALWAYS freezes and I can’t close the panel for the controllers. I have to close the app completely out and reopen it. The notifications work perfectly and it’s very clear but the app needs work. It’s kinda glitchy and lags at times.

Broken Features

We bought this so that I, dad, could stay connected with my daughter while I worked out of state. Moving the camera works sometimes and my wife will have to power cycle the camera so that I can regain control of it. Forget turning the nightlight on or off, that doesn’t work. I don’t dare turn the music on because there’s a chance I’m not gonna have control to turn it off. as far as recording clips that it sees throughout the past 24 hours, I can’t access them because they “failed to load “. If I want to see something cool, I’ve got a three and four chance that that camera will be responsive to let me log into it, and I have to log into it the minute something cool happens.

Pointless

The app does not send notifications to my phone. I’ve tried everything. If you search on Reddit, apparently this is a common problem with this app.

Inconsistent and unreliable app monitoring

This app needs a lot of improvement. For the past week, it hasn’t been pushing notifications, the sleep analysis feature is broken, and it’s failing to record any sleep, wake, or cry notifications. I’ve tried everything, from factory resetting, unpairing the camera, resetting the system, and even deleting and reinstalling the app, but nothing works. Every time I log in, I get an "error contacting VTech server" message, despite having a stable internet connection. The issue clearly lies with the app and the servers. VTech team, if you check Reddit, you’ll see many others experiencing the same problems. I'm seriously considering switching to a different brand because VTech is proving to be unreliable.

Takes a decade to respond to commands

Always shows “server connection lost” even on an incredibly stable wifi connection. When turning night lights on, it literally takes over 3 minutes to actually turn on from the app to camera. For the price of hardware, I’d expect the software to at least work to a reasonable expectation
