I had lifted for years, mostly with in person trainers. That is expensive but worth it if you have a really good one. Problem is I have had a string of ones who are just on their phones—not spotting me or correcting my form and their programming is dubious. I shied away from online training because I want real time feedback on form, spotting, and someone to push me to increase that weight, that rep, or time under tension. I came across Danielle in a real where she was explaining how and why to do a particular movement. I could tell she understood biomechanics for safety, function, and effectiveness results. Plus she was able to explain things in a simple-to-understand way. By clicking her page, I learned a little bit more about her background. Education and testimonials of those she has trained. Plus her own body composition lets me know she has experience. I figured if I could spend way less money with an online trainer but have to give up spotting, real time form correction, and someone pushing me in real time, it would be worth it because my own in person trainer wasn’t doing those things. Turns out, this app helps with the encouragement because it tracks PRs, increased weight, volume, reps, etc from one week to the next. Plus Danielle knows how to program workouts in accordance with my goals so within 2 weeks, I was visibly seeing progress. And her videos and written descriptions (including tempo or time under tension) for each exercise help more with form than I could have imagined. It’s also nice to be able to track macros (if you want) right in the app. She checks in on me throughout the week so that also helps with accountability. She is really responsive too. And even designed a program to work around an injury I have. I am pretty happy with her, the app, and my progress toward my goals.
