  • Incredible

One of the most intensely fun and addicting rouge lites I’ve played. Been seeing so many copycat games trying to mimic VS, this game is the original and has no predatory monetization. The entire game is free and there are zero ads that get in between you and the your play time. The developer if vampire survivors has a genuine outlook on this game that he loves. So i will always continue to support! I can't wait for the moonspell DLC to come out for mobile, i will happily purchase. Keen to see what VS has in store for the future.

  • Faithful port of the addictive phenomenon

All the features are here, from your favorite weapons to the hidden characters, to the Arcanas, to the unlockables. Just make sure your device can handle it; my iPad Pro from 2016 begins to get bogged down towards the latter 10 minutes of each run due to the number of objects on the screen, weapon interactions, etc.

For free? Wow! Yes, there are ads, but they are in easily avoidable places: fail on a run and want to revive your character? Watch an ad for a free revive. End a run and want some bonus gold? Watch an ad. Other than those two places, I haven’t see any ads, and certainly none of the intrusive ads you may see in other free apps.

For the Developer: Please keep in mind that there are plenty of us who would happily pay a fee to remove all ads entirely. Yes, you did a commendable job making your monetization as non-predatory as you could, and for that I thank you. With that said, I’ve purchased the game on Steam full price and would happily have paid the same price for an entirely ad-free version on my mobile devices, too. If that option had been included, this would have been a flawless five-star release (mayhaps for an eventual mobile release of the Moonspell DLC?). As it is, however, thank you for your diligence!

(Also, unlocks and such don’t carry over between the same account on different devices iPhone/iPad ?)

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go try to continue unlocking and evolving characters/items/Arcanas/etc….

  • this game rules

I played this a bunch on the free browser-based version, so I bought it on Steam and then when it came out on Xbox Game Pass I played it even more there… I think I’m about to lose dozens more hours of my life to this game and I’m excited!! This game is so good, highly recommend.
  • Absolutely Worth the Download

My first time playing this game was on Xbox Gamepass and I was instantly hooked so I didn’t hesitate to download them both onto my iPhone and iPad. I am very pleased with the iOS version. I prefer to use my Xbox controller on my iPad but the touch controls are easy to work with for anyone I would assume. The gameplay is very fun and addicting. Best of all…no intrusive ads, only if you want a extra life (which you don’t normally get with this game on steam and Xbox.) If I could only keep one game on my phone, undoubtedly it’s Vampire Survivors.

  • Best devs in the market

Other devs should take notes when it comes to designing a mobile game. The game is FREE with little to no ads, which is a RARE feat. Give it a shot and give the devs some love, there’s a reason it’s already rated as high as it is. There are also a good few features in the game which are amazing to have, such as orientation changes and the ability to disable flashing VFX.

Thank you devs! I know the teams small, but you all are doing great! Cheers

  • Love the game, only very minor things to fix

Like I said in the title i love the game, its my favorite game to play on my phone without a shadow of a doubt. The only things I would like fixed or to add to the game comes very late. Once you start getting into the high AOE parts with Randomizo cards and stuff giving you buffs every level. A lot of the effects start to lag, or outright crash the game. It is totally understandable why. And on the PC version its not much of a problem. But on mobile it would be rather nice to have something that can turn off the effects. Or at least reduce the resources needed. For example, the smoke on Vicious Hunger could be removed and that could help a lot. As well, since you have to physically tap now, a way to have a buy in bulk option for the merchant would be really nice. All that is very late game pushing the limits type stuff. For someone playing like a normal person its absolutely fantastic, and playing around with all the builds is fun.

  • Fantastic developer

The game originated from PC/Steam and sold for a mere 2.50. An absolute bargain for such a well made game. The developer continued throughout this last year to improve and expand the game quite significantly. To find this game on mobile (for free?!?!) Is truly a dream. Thank you Poncle for your generosity and such a well made game!

Game is easy to pickup but harder to master. Once you get there you will find tons of unlockables and achievements. This game tips it’s hat toward Castlevania as you will find plenty of similar references and mechanics.

  • Great game but needs one big fix

Love the game but any time you pause the game to open other apps or just lock the screen for a bit, you lose all your progress and have to start a new run. This is kind a killer for a mobile game where you’re playing on the go and most likely don’t have a full half hour to sink in one sitting.
Another minor but pleasant addition would be having progression tied to your AppleID so you have the same save across multiple iOS devices.

  • Great game, controller support please!

Thought I would give this a go after reading so much about it. A very fun and addictive game! Please can support for controllers be added (I’m using a backbone one) which should address people’s concerns with touchscreen controls. Also, as mentioned by others if you leave the game running in the background after X period of time progress from that game/map is lost.

  • Great port, but one thing.

I can’t believe they made this free for mobile users with optional ads. Incredible work.

Yes, the ads are optional (like a “free” revive or “free” gold boost after a run). I recommend not using them for the true experience you would get if you purchased this on Steam.

Anyways, the one biggest problem (that everyone has already mentioned) is no save states. If you need to stop playing mid-run for whatever reason, make sure you don’t close the app out of your recent apps or open to many other apps to force it out of memory. Otherwise, your entire run is gone. It’s not a dealbreaker, just an annoying problem. I wouldn’t normally care too much but as it is a phone game now, it is a problem.
