Whatever reason (existing post-2020?) I was feeling like I wanted to try again, and this app has been a game-changer. Having the tutorials linked in the instructions is so helpful, as is the thing that lets you keep track of where you are in the pattern (especially when you repeat 4 rows 12 times, for instance). It wasn’t intuitive for me to find that, but I was thrilled to stumble upon it.
The only downside is that my screen time reports are now alarming, but it’s a good feeling being able to use my time on my phone to develop a new skill and create something tangible.

An excellent app for knitters

A must-have app for every knitter!
Of course, it’s excellent for streamlining knitting Tin Can Knits app-enabled patterns, but there’s also a TON of other resources that ANY knitter can use! I can’t recommend this app enough 😁❤️
Like the app
I have just started using the app and it is wonderful. I like how it shows only the size you are working on. I would like, however, to be able to check off parts of a pattern when I am finished with a section.
Utterly worth it! PLEASE add more stuff!
Okay first and foremost! I absolutely love this app so far. My only complaint is the fact that there isn’t very many patterns. It would be really awesome if more were added soon. I find this app extremely helpful so far with the sizing and making sure that you follow that certain size instead of getting lost like in most patterns with the million sizes. Please please please add more patterns soon!

Good start, good potential (updated 8/24)
I’m enjoying using this app. I like that it’s easy to connect to my Ravelry account. The ability to see only the stitch counts and instructions I need is fabulous. This app will definitely increase my willingness to choose Tin Can Knits patterns in the future. I hope future updates will include a highlighter and a row counter.
UPDATE: The row counter and highlighter I wanted has been added and is FABULOUS. Tapping the arrow at the bottom of the screen takes you row by row through the pattern, and includes repeats of instructions, like in the gusset of a sock, and it even keeps count of how many repeats you’ve done. LOVE. It’s turned a 4-star app into a 5-star app, and I’m looking forward to the addition of new patterns so I can further enjoy the ease of using this app.

Amazing app, so easy to use.
I absolutely love this app, it’s great how it filters the pattern based on size, yarn type etc so you only see the relevant number- no more having to count constantly and keep track of which size you’re doing! And it keeps track of the number of repeats too. So easy and intuitive to use.
Visual Accessibility Needed
Looks like a fab app for knitters; but I’d really like to see it being more accessible for us visually impaired knitters who need bigger, bolder font on our screens to read it.
Please change the sign in requirement
If I don't close the app please keep me signed in. If my signal is poor the app becomes useless because I can't sign into my projects. Huge downside. It also ends up not saving notes I take in a pattern when not well connected. Please improve this.
My go to
Tin can knits has been my go to favorite for all knitting info and inspiration I have ever needed. Clear and concise directions for all sizes and reference to techniques makes for guaranteed success. I have knit all my life and enjoy the fact I can have my pattern on my phone and the specific size I am using. Technology advances even an age old craft. Thanks
