Needs work
I have had several smokers and the downfall with a lot of them is the app. Pitboss went through two apps and both kinda sucked. This app needs tweaking for sure. As mentioned the timers are useless if you close out the app. It will suspend the timer. Not a huge issue since I usually use Alexa timers on cooks.
Everything else works as expected for me. I am sure that this will be a simple fix.

For a $1200 grill, all I get is “network anomalies”. Funny that “shop” works fine. Fix your app, Blackstone! All of these reviews say the same thing!Krh6718

Getting the same “network anomaly” as everyone else, app is useless and really makes me regret having the remote capabilities of this smoker/griddle as a selling point over another brand.M_sirk

App is Not Usable
You would think for the amount of money that is spent on the grill itself that they could put out an app thats usable. Can’t even set up my account on this due to “network anomalies”DisappointedTechy
Horrible
Wife bought me the smoker/grill for my birthday. Was so excited to use it and be able to finally have the controls at my fingertips. For the price tag of $1200, you would expect the app to work. The app never worked for me and when I reached out to customer service they tried saying I’m the first one with this problem. Clearly many people have the same problem. They don’t care about their customers nor do they want to fix the problem. They just want your money. Honestly just go buy a pit boss or Traeger.Show less11bravo13fox

How do you expect someone to pay 1200$ for a combo smoker/griddle when you can’t even get enough funds to pay junior college IT grad for a simple app. It’s funny to me that the only thing that works is the shop button but nothing else.HowieDewin

Can’t connect the app to the pellet grill. Continuously says “network anomalies”. Would be nice to remote monitor temps with the app, but it’s not possible with the current version of the appGarrettQ’
