  • The perfect meditation app

I have been meditating for around 10 years and have used most of the popular apps (headspace, calm, insight timer, Waking Up, etc.) at different stages.

The Way has been a breath of fresh air in this landscape, and marked of vital growth point in my meditation practice – one with more glimpses of non-duality, and a general sense of loving ease.

“Loving ease“ also defines the app experience itself. I absolutely love that there are no decisions to be made. Not a lot of bells and whistles just one clear path. Sit and do the next lesson on the path. The art and gamification of visually seeing myself move along the path is surprisingly gratifying :-)

Can’t wait to see what the future of this app has in store!
  • This is the one!

I’ve tried every meditation app out there in the last 10+ years of practicing somewhat inconsistently. The Way is a revelation! There is no confusion or decision paralysis because of too many options or bells and whistles. It’s just one methodical path, taught with the most clear, precise language about meditation I have encountered. I have completed over 40 meditations in this app so far, and it’s giving me the ability to bring mindfulness “off the cushion” and into my daily life in ways that other apps have not. And, the app promises to go much further than just “mindfulness” in further sessions.

Henry Shukman is an excellent teacher and I hope more people will give this app a chance to improve their lives.
  • Excellent teachings

Henry is a unique teacher in the way he shares his insights with warmth and understanding. This app is the best way I know to get the teachings if travelling for a retreat is not feasible.

The one track path the app lays out is very easy to follow and eliminates any confusion or deliberation on what meditation you should listen to next.

I try to do 1 to 2 meditations every day. I have used other meditation apps that have a wide variety of categories to pick from, and while that’s helpful sometimes, it’s refreshing to engross myself in a longer track of practice — like getting deep into a big book.
  • Finally, an app I can recommend to everyone

I first started meditating 3 years ago when subscribing to the Waking Up app. In that app I found dozens of teachers; some whose styles resonated with me more than others. But when I discovered Henry Shukman’s content in that app, I found a much stronger connection than I’d found with any of the other teachers.

I went on to read his book and have even joined for some of his online sessions, both of which have been huge in my life and practice.

I still love and regularly use the Waking Up app for its Theory-related content, but The Way is now my daily driver for sits.

I typically use it once in the morning and once in the evening. Sometimes using the 20m guided option or sometimes using the 10m timer after a 10m guided session. Its content and approach helped me finally find my groove in the daily practice routine.

And best of all, it’s the first app I can recommend to *everyone* interested in exploring a meditation practice. There’s not a close second, from my view.

It’s free to get started and they even offer scholarships for those with less money to spend on things like this. Give it a try if you’re ready to see how meditation is more than just a self improvement practice. Some use the word “spiritual” but in this case that’s not meant in a supernatural sense. No dogma or faith is involved.

There’s so much to explore within *direct experience* itself! Enjoy! 🙏
  • Brilliantly Conceived and Executed

In the universe of meditation apps, I believe The Way developed by Henry Shukman and team is singular in purpose, intent, focus, and delivery. The Way offers a clearly delineated, tried and true path grounded in the deepest of wisdom traditions that guide practitioners through the various levels of practice all the way to awaking to one’s true nature. A bold offering to be sure, but in teaching and guidance of Henry Shukman, attainable for sure. All you have to do is show up, sit daily, and stick around for the miracle!

As a long-time practitioner with little interest in apps, I find The Way a tremendous daily source of wise and careful guidance, and I am quite confident that meditators of any experience level will find it the same. Bravo Henry and team!!!
  • A new and original app

I’m an old meditator from way back. I wasn’t looking for a teacher or an app. But Henry Shukman’s teaching is profound and deep with a relaxing, warm, and loving twist. Henry and his team have generated an app that takes you step by step on the path mixing mindfulness with Zen practice. It makes you feel you are in his presence and know him really well. His decency and kindness shine through.
  • So grateful for this!

I love Henry’s style as well as the methodical way he approaches meditation. The app is beautiful and easy to use. Lastly, when you consider that your mind is really all you have to offer others (and yourself), this is truly, truly money well-spent.
  • Nicely done!

I am finding The Way app brilliantly helpful in opening up in me the many benefits of guided meditation. It is neither too rigid in its progression nor lacking structure sufficient to the task of taking the participant on a true journey. The balance is well conceived and implemented.
  • Nice App

Fairly new to meditation. I love Waking Up, and heard a conversation between Sam and Henry Shukman that interested me, so I checked out Henry’s website. Pleasantly, I found the one love course, to which I now belong. The app can be used with the course, so I’m doing both. While I haven’t attended a One Love Sunday session yet, I love the app. It is very easy and accessible.
  • The best meditation app out there!

Henry’s carefully structured and gently guided meditations are not only a ideal point of entry for those new to mindfulness and Zen but also for those with years of experience. Highly recommended!
