I have never written a review for an application; however, waking up has accelerated my progress in my journey into mindfulness. I have been meditating for almost 10 years and recently started taking it more seriously the last year. I have tried several apps, but none of them lays out a roadmap and a pragmatic approach to meditation. Thanks, Sam Harris, for introducing me to Henry Shukman and his meditation app the way. The Way is The Best
I’ve been truly baffled by how good this app is. I’ve been studying meditation for a decade, travelled all over the world meeting teachers, hiked up cliffs to secluded caves but Henry and The Way bring it all back to my front door, here and now. The way the app is formatted, by only allowing one sit at a time, removes so much of what gets in the way of traditional apps which can easily obscure the real purpose of them in the first place. I can’t recommend enough.

Wonderful app, incredibly insightful and simply helpful
I’ve used a lot of meditation apps and have been practicing for awhile. The Way is a great introduction to meditation and helps deepen your own practice. The app is thoughtfully structured and it’s apparent that Henry has a deep practice along with a talent for teaching and helping others. This app is a great companion to an app like waking up and it’s especially great for those who resonate with daily progressive learning.

Lost my way! Not Zen!
Loved this app initially but it’s clunky and now I’ve lost where I was on my trail. It is hard to find who to contact for support and once I found it no one is getting back to me. I’ve been doing it for several months now I’m back at the beginning.
best meditation app ever
This is n absolute gift, Ive used it near every day for the last couple months and now I think this will be something I use possibly for the rest of my life! The guided meditations are incredible taking you on a profound journey to your self. If you want to fall in love with being get this app
Perfect…
Absolutely love the concept; and Henry as a teacher. I get way too overwhelmed by other meditation apps that have seemingly countless sections and subsections to navigate and choose from; it feels exciting at first but then I end up doing none of it due to decision fatigue. I want it chosen and curated for me; which this solves. UPDATE: After using this app for the past couple of months, I can safely say this app offers the most unique and rewarding experiences/teachings i’ve ever experienced. It’s helped me “unlock” that next stage of experience.

A Lovely Way
I’ve just completed the first ‘trail’ on this app and highly recommend it.
It sets out a path of meditation practice which builds and deepens as you ‘travel’ along.
I’ve been sitting daily for twenty minutes with each session and Henry guides through gentle reminders, well spaced throughout.
The joy of a few minutes silence and stillness each day is not to be underestimated.

Resplendent app
Marvellous if you want to explore deeper meditation than the mainstream mindfulness apps tend to offer. Also grand for more experienced meditators looking for a new path - a way to end the search perhaps… ‘Bon voyage’. Jq

I’ve been working with this app daily for about a month and each time I do so, I feel tremendous gratitude for how closely it comes to personally working with a meditation teacher. My consistency of practice has improved 100% using this app because I am working with guided practices that build my skills in a cumulative manner. I look forward to each sit knowing that someone else, a master in a Zen tradition, is guiding the way. The pressure to ‘know’ what I am supposed to do is eliminated. Using The Way app allows me focus on developing my ability to sit consistently and more patiently while cultivating skills and ways of being. A brilliant guide and process to meditation
Finally, clarity and guidance! I’ve been meditating for quite a long time but have always felt scattered and sporadic in motivation and outcome. Meditating has felt like a battle. Now I actually feel joy to get up and meditate. Each step builds on the previous, and I find the processes filtering into my day. I’m not overwhelmed, I’ve lost my judgement about doing a good or bad meditation, and I’m simply going with the flow in trust. My mind is more settled, and I’m relaxed and present, excited to get deeper and know more about who I truly am. A brilliant, simple journey that is accessible and not overwhelming for anyone and everyone.
