Better than Duolingo
Impressive app for being built by one person, but leans heavily on AI, which means the sentences or translations can sometimes be weird or wrong. But mostly it’s fine.
The AI images are very weird and I turned them off immediately - they’re not particularly helpful. The Pawlyglot AI chatbot is also not very helpful.
I like it more than Duolingo because it organizes learning by CEFR levels instead of useless kindergarten vocab. The AI-generated explanations, pronunciations, and example sentences are helpful.
Response from developer
Thanks for the review! I understand that images and AI chatbots are not everyone. I personally use Pawlyglot for words that my brain just refuses to learn, maybe you'll make a use of it when you find some words like that. Regarding the bad sentences and translations, feel free to report them! I'm always using the biggest & most expensive AI models + have AIs for checking sentences' correctness, but a little bit more human touch is still needed.
