Fantastic….
I dabbled in cooking during the pandemic but quickly exhausted my recipes. This app is fantastic!!! I love the layout, the recipes and the narrative that is often strewn with them. Caters really well for our vegetarian needs! Thank you!
Frustrating registration experience
Looks like it could be a good app but despite logging in with my Guardian account, it won’t let me access the subscription option (something about can’t access from this storefront). So, if regular log in doesn’t work….why offer the option in the first place?

Hi there, I'm sorry you had trouble subscribing to the Guardian Feast app. This was due a to a temporary issue, which has now been fixed. Please update to Version 1.13 of the Guardian Feast app.

Made my first recipe, dahi murg, for dinner tonight. Delicious! I’ll definitely make this again. It’s great having the ingredients and method readily accessible in the Start Cooking mode. The cup converter was useful too. Would love to see a quick video of each of the dishes but the recipes all seem very clear and well set out. Can’t wait to make more!

Good
A few suggestions: avoid resetting the app when you leave the app for a short while. Sometimes when I leave and return to the app, it reloads to the homepage rather than staying on the recipe I was using.
Second suggestion: not sure how popular this would be, but a planner for when you are going to cook particular dishes? I have saved a lot of recipes and it’d be nice to organise these into a schedule. Rather than having to scroll through every time to find the recipe I want to cook.

Minor change would make a big difference
Generally, the app is pretty good. Nice range of dishes and new ones being added regularly. The main complaint that I have is, despite needing an account to use the app, anything that you save as a favourite is not linked to that account.
It is a small thing, but it means that the app I have on my phone, which i use for adding favourites things while I’m out and about, and for checking ingredients when doing the shopping, is not connected to the app on my iPad, which is much more usual in the kitchen, with the bigger screen.
All it means in real terms is, I have to search for things I’ve already favourited, and add them again on my iPad, but it just feels like a bit of a misstep.

Best app!
I love this app and use it almost every day. Please add options to organise and search within the ‘my feast’ section! I have too many recipes saved already.
Good food, buggy app
Recipes are great but the app is a bit frustrating to use. After doing a search the keyboard stays on, taking up half of the screen. Not only does this make it harder to see the search results, it’s easy to hit the keyboard which then changes the search terms. Getting out of a recipe and trying to scroll is also confounded by the keyboard appearing. Also, to start a new search, you need to scroll all the way back up to the top, rather than just hitting the search icon. I’m sure it will be good when these bugs are ironed out.

Can’t view a recipe, need to sign in.
Can’t sign in with Google or Apple,
It “signs in” but I can still see the lady sprinkling salt over the logo. It doesn’t shift out of the way.

The Best Recipe Book
What an amazing idea ! I love it , love it, love it ! It’s having a recipe book of the world at your finger tips and with contributions from so many amazing chefs. I have been looking up ideas and cooking several meals in the week from this and it has my first port of call.
Just okay
App is buggy, doesn’t always load on phone. Recipes a little odd for N American tastes. I haven’t tried adding roasting juices to salad dressings but it doesn’t sound appetizing
