Exactly what was needed
I have been waiting for this app. I subscribe to the email, but needed something that helped me quickly find good eating places while I was driving around.

Very US centric, not great if you live anywhere else in the world.
Also forces you to subscribe to a newsletter, the option to decline conveniently doesn’t work.

Sketchy tracking policy
Forces you to accept web activity tracking even if you’ve denied that in iOS settings. If you allow it and then turn it off in Settings, gets stuck on location settings. That’s as far as I can get, which is a shame.

Long time user of the Eater maps on web browser and so glad for this new format!
Privacy options lousy
You are forced to give away privacy on this app. It makes you consent to tracking and says you can turn off but you cannot. Needs to be fixed

Map filters and sorting
For the map/list view for nearby restaurants, please add the ability to filter the results by restaurant type, when they’re open (now and at some point in the future), and price. Please also have the ability to sort the list by price and distance. Thanks!

Absolutely psyched!
As an Eater employee, I’ve been asking for an app for literal years and I’m so excited we have one so I don’t have to Google every map piecemeal anymore. Big win for me
Convenient access but data is out of date
I appreciate quick access to Eater articles but the map shows restaurants that closed long ago.
