  • Clumsy navigation, needs dark mode

    Navigating this app feels clumsy — none of the menu placement seems to be intuitively designed, though the engineering of the app is otherwise sound. Definitely both written and designed by engineers.

    Dark mode should be a feature as well. Brutal experience in low light conditions if you don’t want to scorch your eyes or let everyone around you know you’re booking a table on Tock.

    Otherwise, as I said — appears to be smooth, and reasonably bug free. Talented mobile developers…just should hire a designer 😅

  • Terrible App for Gift Card Use

    Was given a Tock gift card for Christmas and it’s extremely limiting as far as what you can use it on and their gift card rules are ambiguous an unclear.
    There’s no info on the app on how and what you can use the gift card on either and there’s no filter in the search bar to help you see what your options are for participating restaurants.

    I would highly avoid giving a Tock gift card as a gift… unless you want to give it to your enemy or someone who loves frustration.

  • My Go-To!!

    I’ve been using Tock for a good year and a half now and have enjoyed my experiences with the app. It’s very smooth and easy to navigate through. Having all these locations in one place makes it easier to choose where you want to go but also helps with wanting to explore and experience new places!!
