  • DO NOT UPDATE

It’s too late for me since I can’t get the old version back, but at least it worked for the basic functions needed. I unwisely followed the prompt from the company to download the new versio. Big mistake. I can’t offset the temperature to match the actual temperature, no matter how many times I input the data into the app. It doesn’t do anything. So the heaters are essentially useless, they used to work and now with the new app they don’t. Don’t get me started on the heater itself, I have received 2 replacements, one arrived broken and the other has the same issue as the original—high pitched noise that wakes me up at night. Of course that’s only when it actually turns on.

  • This is the worst!

Can't even add a room. Glad I kept the old app.
  • Unfinished

Unfinished user interface and bugs plus regression of features from previous app version.

Not a good customer experience for such a beautiful heating panel.
  • Utter garbage

(This is a review for the updated app. The old version was poorly designed, but at least occasionally managed to control the heater. The new version? Good luck.)

The app: My needs were few: set the heater to a temperature, turn heater on or off. This app can manage none of this. Instead it presents a needlessly complex way to set up a “smart” schedule. 20 minutes of configuring later, and the heater will turn on - but never turn off. Instead, it runs ceaselessly, cooking the room
regardless of the shut-off temperature chosen.

The sensor (a golf ball-sized piece of plastic garbage, destined to be lost beneath a bookshelf) seems to only register temps in Celsius - even when the heater is configured to work in Fahrenheit. The result is a sensor reading 21 degrees, telling the heater to keep going until it reaches 68. I’d prefer if my room were not 68 degrees Celsius, thanks…

If you’re reading this, you’ve probably already bought the heater and are as screwed as I am. If, by some stroke of luck, you haven’t, save yourself the money and frustration. Any other heater on the market would be better.

  • Very glitchy app

Set up worked fine for me (I was previously using the other Boldr app, which is apparently being deprecated and has its own serious issues). The version works with Google WiFi routers, but the app works only about 60% of the time. And when it does work, it’s very confusing to use. This makes it very difficult to actually set heating schedules that work - I found myself having to manually set the temperature each time I wanted to use a panel because the schedule didn’t work. Hope they improve it quickly because it’s almost unusable.

  • Terrible app

I don’t ever leave reviews for apps, but this is just awful. Numerous timeout errors on every page, and the sensor offset doesn’t actually do anything. It keeps going back to a base setup no matter how many times I add a room or devices, and it’s not actually recognizing devices on my network that have been connected to it.

Not to mention the website for the Fara says it can be used with Google Home/Alexa, but there’s no way to actually do it and the faq page says “coming June 2023” (it’s January 2024 now…).

  • Not worth the money

I purchased the heater and you need this app to use it. The parts that were advertised aren’t available. The schedule doesn’t work. And the thermostat is off by about 5 degrees. So far I have not been impressed at all. I will most likely be tossing the heater, as I have heard I will need to spend another $200 to return it. Stay away from this company is my advice.

  • Utter Junk, Waste of Money

Took 30 minutes to set up the app with a single heater, another hour to set that heater up in the app, and still none of it works. Heater ran all night and nothing the app or the product itself reported was true. I tried to save money and it really backfired on me.
