Apple Password Generator

The generator is great for storing your saved passwords however it confuses some stored numbers such as gate codes as compromised passwords. It also confuses certain website generated passwords and longstanding website password security verifier generator passwords as compromised easy to guess passwords. Note for Apple Inc. Not all online websites have updated to a 2 step verification that accepts and approves of your password generator for their older website online security systems in the past 13 plus years. Ok. Most online websites are set to Microsoft and Google Authenticators. The sites set to these 2 security verification authenticators website logins are not compatible or updated to accept passwords generated by any Apple FIDO2 Security password Authenticators. Been this way the last 13 plus years Apple. Ok.

Simple and well integrated, great with apps

Recently moved from Keeper, which is a superb product. Just wanted to reduce costs and keep things simple. This works well for that.

Browser extension is limited - not interactive. There are no custom fields.

Otherwise, it gets the job done in a clean simple manner.

the best app

This app told me that my SCHOOL password was found in a data breach and today some one lost ALL OF THERE WORK 6 STARS oh yeah and the password for world book online is cwps lower case

Pity it’s worthless

It worked when I foolishly updated to iPadOS 18 without taking a good look at it. This foolish part of the new version is an absolute waste, at least since I don't enjoy being welcomed by an empty white space with no way to navigate. Who knows if reinstalling it will help? I doubt it.

I frequently feel like I’m being punished by the failure of too many people who can’t manage their passwords. I set strong passwords, keep them secure, and remember them or have them encoded in a safe place. Password managers are a convenience for me and that's all but it shouldn't be as unreliable as this is.

I kinda feel like most of the changes in iPadOS version 18 were just to modify things, not to improve. This ridiculous thing is just one more example of that. smh

Hide my email is a huge PAIN!!!

I used hide my email for a while a few years back. At first it is fine, but if you forget your password you might be stuck having to reach out and go through the pain of verifying customer support 😩
I am locked out from some money I earned because it takes 2 WEEKS for them to get back to me after I verified my identity with them. I try putting in the private email address but don’t get the emails they are sending, and I never even set up a password because I used “sign in with Apple” which isn’t working.
Definitely not reliable enough to risk using it on certain things for sure

Great app from Apple!

I wouldn’t have thought Apple will make an official password app! It generates 2FA codes and seemlessly integrates them in the iOS. There would no longer be a need for 3rd party apps with a few exceptions (like MS Authenticator for MS accounts)

Doesn't save passwords

When changing a compromised password and you select "use a strong password" , followed by "fill and save" you find your password will not be saved 90% of the time it never saves the new strong passwords it just keeps the old one and when you try and sign-in it will say wrong password because it uses your old one waste of time and effort

Unnecessary

Not sure why the decision to change passwords from a setting under utilities, to an App was made, but it was unnecessary.

A game changer!!!

Apple Passwords is a must-have tool for managing all my accounts securely and effortlessly. The seamless integration across my Apple devices makes storing, retrieving, and auto-filling passwords a breeze. I love how it generates strong passwords and alerts me to potential security risks. The iCloud Keychain sync ensures my data is always up-to-date and accessible when I need it. It’s reliable, intuitive, and eliminates the hassle of remembering countless passwords. Apple Passwords is the ultimate solution for anyone looking to enhance their online security. Highly recommended!

Great idea and user friendly!

Love this app but not really something new unfortunately. I expected more from Apple. But overall works well.
