Worked fine until the latest update

After trying the app I paid for the full version, created 3 widgets, and added the essential apps I wanted. Most of my apps are for my daily commute, train times and tickets, bus information etc. If they were on my phone Onpoint could find them. Until this morning. The majority of the apps I use with Onpoint have now disappeared, leaving me with Whatsapp, Messages and Wallet. An update shouldn’t break what’s already there.

Thanks a lot for your feedback! I can definitely understand your frustration, the old version used to work much better. It was not my decision to make the app work in a worse way. I have worked hard in the last couple of weeks to add a new workaround which makes the app a lot better, especially when used with custom apps. I would love to hear your feedback on this, you can find the new setting + tutorial in on point’s settings.

Cool idea but doesn’t work well

Great idea, love it… but it doesn’t work well at all
Can’t make a full screen widget,

Hey, you can add two widgets instead, a small one and a large one :)

What happened?

Why is it routing through the on point app now. My widget stopped working and saw it was because you added a paid option, and I thought yeah I want to support so I spent the 10$, however I’m confused why the app downgraded with how it opens apps on the phone. Before it was a smooth open as if it was the app itself, now it’s the same as blank spaces where it’s just a wrapper for short cuts. If possible to fix that would be great, if not I’m kinda disappointed that I paid then.

Works but just took out a key feature in the latest update

What happened to the ability to change app names? One of the main reasons I loved this app was that you could have all your apps listed in lowercase letters, or even set your own custom font if you wanted. But now all the apps come with their default capitalized names and there’s only a handful of font choices. Why take this out????

Latest update has broken it.

The latest update doesn’t let me use it for a number of apps I had used it for before. Takes more time to open the apps too. Quite disappointing as I liked what it did.

What happened?

This app was great and I was enjoying using it. But after an update, the way apps launched suddenly changed. Instead of opening from where you click, now a black screen appears and then it shifts sideways to the app you select. It really detracts from the experience.

New update degraded the app

New update just completely degraded this app. Previously I could just search for third party apps. Now suddenly search doesn’t work and you just have a list of apps in no discernible order and non-alphabetical. Good luck just scrolling through an endless list to find the one app you want!

Too much friction

Feels like the recent update broke the app. The shortcut spacing is less pleasant now, but that’s the least of it - the shortcut linking is no longer seamless, there’s a black screen between press and open now and it often asks if I want to allow . to open the end application. Multiple of my apps disappeared from the list, which now require shortcuts, which further add to the friction. It no longer feels useable.

Seems good, but…

The concept is great, creates a minimal home screen and the shortcuts to the apps work well with limited delay. Despite missing some apps that seem pretty crucial, it is a great idea. However, it seems rather counterintuitive to have to pay £10 a month to have more than 3 widgets on your Home Screen. The whole point of the app is to reduce the amount of time spent on your phone and eliminate distractions, but to have to pay to use my phone less, seems daft. I am sure there is probably alternatives to this that are free and just as effective.

Light phone hack!

Fantastic. It has helped slow down my erratic use. I would love about five more widget configurations please — it gets tricky with different Focus settings!
