It’s basically a non-negotiable at this point, there really is no excuse to not give a built-in ad blocker on the app. Firefox Focus is open-source and does the job. uBlock Origin is an open-source extension that does the ad blocking for you, the Orion Browser app for IOS is able to support it. Its competition, Brave Browser, and by extension, the Brave Search Engine, is both open-source and has a built-in ad blocker. Since the DuckDuckGo App doesn’t also has this problem, I think it would benefit Startpage to consider finding a way to put in a built-in ad blocker on the Startpage App.Peter T. Gonzalez
