User unfriendly

The app does not show a “purchased” button or other way to see my books in a shelf separate from the entire store library. I have to go through the entire catalog finding the books I purchased and download them. What if I don’t have enough space? The iOS app showed a “purchased” button before. The Android app did not and Hudson did not want to fix it. On the contrary, now they included the defect in the iOS version too!

Terrible app

Unreliable and useless. It’s unfortunate that you can only access the digital content you pay money for on an app that doesn’t work. You can’t download the content that you pay full price for, instead you have to rely on an unreliable app. I won’t buy digital content through Hudson Music bc of this, only physical. It’s unfortunate because I prefer digital content but it’s not worth the headache.

Hard to see the author of the book in preview

Great app and I’ve been a fan of Hudson since the video tape days. Is there anyway to get a better preview of who the author is? This really helps in buying decisions, thank you.

Buggy and horrible

Filled to the brim with bugs. Books I’ve bought do not show up in my library. 👎🏼

Disappointing!

How to make a purchase in-app, or via website, when there is no button that facilitates this action: impossible.

How to search for content when the App has no search box: possible, if one is prepared to scroll through the entire catalogue.

How to unsubscribe from the website: impossible.

How to delete personal data: impossible.

It’s one way traffic; this is my experience. Be Warned. READ THE TERMS and Privacy Policy.

Great content… HORRIBLE app

What year is it!?
Hudson needs to invest in its content creators. With the most respected educators, this is literally the worst app in the music education market.

No wonder the YouTube and Instagram educators are leaving them in he dust, it’s a shame to see how limiting the use of this app is considering some of the iconic books that are in there.

Even the simple task of separating purchased from non-purchased content would be an improvement. #downloaded #purchased ??

When there is media connected to the book it is glitchy to play on a newest gen iPad.

Once again, amazing educators have put out content on Hudson… the app itself is the problem.

Audio links will not work

I bought a book and none of the audio that is supposed to be there is working. It is impossible to get support. None of my emails or phone calls have been taken or responded to.

Terrible

I can’t view any of my purchases this is the second time I had a problem with Hudson music I will buy my books at Amazon for now on

I think iOS 14 Broke It

One of my books (Creative Development) has embedded links to example videos by the author. Great book! But after the iOS14 update the links don’t work. Hopefully, someone at Hudson is paying attention and will fix it. Fingers crossed.

Can’t get the associated audio

The app in itself is great and the books are in very high definition. Unfortunately if you purchase via the in app rather than via the website you cannot get the associated audio downloads. Their reasoning for this is that when you purchase in app, you are a customer of Apple or Google Play rather than Hudson Music. I’m confused as to who receives the payment for the books that are purchased via the app in this case...

Would definitely recommend the app but would highly, highly recommend you purchase via the Hudson website and sync the book to the app so you can get any associated audio downloads and then use the ebook reader to view the books.
