Don’t get me wrong. I love LEGO, but they should’ve not deleted 𝓛𝓮𝓰𝓸 𝓵𝓲𝓯𝓮 . They should’ve kept it and never released this one because well it’s not the best you can do barely things without getting 𝓪𝓬𝓬𝓸𝓾𝓷𝓽 and a lot of people are just angry because they were far ahead in 𝓛𝓮𝓰𝓸𝓵𝓲𝓯𝓮 and now all of their progress is gone and when I mean, you can barely do anything without getting a account I mean 𝓷𝓸𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓷𝓰 and it’s not really like funny things like you can create it. It’s just pictures now.

Commanderfancifullennox100 here. So the app is the worst app I’ve ever used in my life. Why you ask, well it has a harder interface than Lego Life, it is way more glitches, it lacks functionality and features, nobody likes this app, and there was no reason to get rid of Lego Life. And also why does every time this gets updated it says “we hope you loved the app already”. It makes no sense to say that because nobody cares about this dumb app. No fixing of this app will do me any good, the only thing I would be satisfied with is if LL came back.
PositiveBubble047 here. LEGO Life, this app's predecessor, has shut down, meaning this is the new LEGO social platform. I had previously written a review when the app was in its premiere mode. My new stance is that LEGO Play has new, low quality features, and you aren’t instructed on how to use them. Also, some features aren’t even new. Let me give examples. Minifigure Selfie: Put stickers on your digital minifigure. We could already do this in LEGO Life when it wasn’t its own feature. Pattern Designer: Put stickers of LEGO tile pieces on a grid. However, I can't get this to work. We could do this previously. Digital Building: Allows you to make a creation out of digital LEGO bricks. While cool, why wouldn’t you just build with actual bricks? Grid: Put stickers or upload photos from your device. This is the way to post your own creations. On LEGO Life, you would take a picture or upload one, then add stickers, then post it. On LEGO Play, you go to create, select Grid, select Upload a Photo, select a photo, add stickers, then post it. Much more complex for no reason. Additionally, the interface is much less straightforward than LEGO Life. Also, for the “full experience” you need to set up a LEGO Insiders account, which I have not. My point is, LEGO Play is quantity over quality.

Lego life had the golden things, like groups, seeing the exact count of your friends, trending page, and many more. Lego Play gives us poorly made Lego games. Lego really thinks we downloaded Lego Life for games and videos?! Seriously?! We downloaded it to spark creativity and share our Lego creations. I’m pretty you guys targeted this app at iPad kids. Also, I had a lot of friends that left Lego Life and didn’t go to Lego Play because of you guys. And they left because they didn’t wanna go to Lego Play. I can’t blame them. I probably wont ever hear or see those people again because of y’all’s terrible decision. That’s like ripping part of me out of me. One thing I do like about Lego Play tho is the fact we can at LEAST post more than 1 picture. That’s it. That barely gives you a star, but at least they didn’t completely get rid of Lego life and not add anything else. Please add the Lego life features over to Lego Play or just reopen Lego Life. Get rid of its barrier. Anything that’ll make the community happy

You can now add multiple pictures onto the same Creative Canvas! Look for the 'Photos' icon and upload multiple photos. I won’t be downloading Lego play because I just can’t do it. I would feel like I would be betraying Lego life. This is just super upsetting and I wish they didn’t remove it. Sure it had a few problems but who doesn’t? I really miss my LL friends and I doubt I’ll ever see them again 😭 LEGO IF YOU ARE READING THIS PLEASE BRING LEGO LIFE BACK! I MISS MY FRIENDS SO MUCH AND I AM SO BORED WITHOUT IT. PLEASE

One thing that made LEGO life great was that you could post comics. Or just have multiple pics. But you can only post one now. Also it’s called LEGO play but there’s literally 3 games and they have bugs. Also the liking button doesn’t really work, and it’s hard to find posts. Like if you go to the page with the post there is one post at a time as you scroll down. You can’t find anything. Like I get if LEGO is trying to make it better, but it’s a lot worse. LEGO should have just continued LEGO life until they could make LEGO play better. And LEGO, you made something great with LEGO life, and then got rid of it. And they app that took its place was bad. I do not recommend the app.
UPDATED: The App does what I guess is supposed to do. But now instead of seeing all the feeds, pics, stories, and all my sets. I guess I have to download another app to get the 2 things that I wanted. Builder and Play
Lego: you had a mighty app with LL. I know it’s gonna take some time to get used to the new app and it will take a really long time to get mods to come in and get it going. So keep up the good work.
I have over 142K lego bricks! I used LL to keep track of all my sets so I didn’t keep all my paper copies of building instructions. Now I can’t see any of them?! I I can’t believe Lego did this?! Please help me understand why you got rid of that feature?! Please bring that feature back. And when you do bring it back please transfer all my saved Lego sets back.

So I got Lego play when LL went away and what I said from the title, I don’t hate it, but don’t love it. I will start with what I like about it. I like when you comment you can see how long ago you commented on something. I also like that LP has its own editing software for younger kids because they probably don’t have editing apps. One more good thing is the new tag’s system I think it’s really cool. Alright the downsides are: No reactions, no friend count, friends being organized by when you friended them which makes it almost impossible to tag someone (to fix the problem there should be a search tab in the friend list). Also when you go into a profile then go into a post, when you go out instead of still being in that profile, you’re in the search thing again. please moderate the posts faster too, I have a post going that has been in the mods since Friday and it’s Sunday, and who knows how much longer it will be in mods!? So Lego, the app needs a few improvements, please consider them. -LoudestRunningSponge

All the other reviews say it’s bad but it’s really not that bad it comes with classics like flappy Bird and snake. it comes to with a board that you can just put tiles on you can be really creative with it too. it came with a building software but it only comes with a dozen of the same pieces every time you do it. it’s really good for the fact, it just came out over all I suggest you get it. It’s probably gonna be even better in the future.
