  • Not the same

This app was supposed to replace the Lego Life app due to old tech problems, however me and many others find this new app confusing and hard to navigate. It seems like its not so much as sharing Lego stuff with online friends which is why we all loved Lego Life because of the people that we met and other wise would have nothing in common and never met On L.L. We used to be notified when our friends made a post but now that’s not even an option, if you want to see what your friends made you have to go look at they’re profile and see or be tagged. It’s not as convenient especially if you have a long list of friends.

  • Why did you have to do this???

I have had Lego life for a while, and would use it for more than just the posts. It had instructions, MULTIPLE PHOTOS, and other things this is just missing. The attempt at games are low quality, and are just terrible. It is hard to navigate for I have still not found the button to ACTUAL LEGO. This app feels like if they took Lego life, and removed its soul. We don’t even have groups anymore where we could look for certain themes. Lego I honestly don’t think you could do much worse than this. I honestly prefer Lego life from around 2016 over this. Even with the old outdated graphics it is better than this slop. I really wish I could say this is better, but it truly isn’t. Lego I hope you can do something. At least make this dumpster fire better. You could also just bring back Lego life. None of us would complain, as you can see by all the other reviews. I do prefer the black over the white though, so that gave it a star out of me TRYING to find something good about this. I hope you can hear us, and clean up this mess. Thank you if just TRY to do something.

  • Trash App

I think the creators just pulled this app from the dumpster that’s existed longer than this planet! I think they should stick with lego life. Lego Play is so weird and has no cool features. The only cool thing about it is the games. The badges, gifs, and everything about lego life is better. EVEN THE MODS. I honestly would rate it zero stars but I physically can’t. They could have just kept it the same and updated it instead of this monstrosity! No one get this app and find better things to do. They trashed all of our projects and some of us worked hard to do those those but they don’t care they had many days to improve this app I think that they just couldn’t handle Lego life so they made a new app in like 2 seconds. Lego life had 4 beautiful stars and this one doesn’t even have 2 sorry but just keep Lego Life. It was originally gonna be gone August 1st but they they changed it to the 15th. They better not kick us off because we loved LL. They claimed to have fixed some bugs but they clearly didn’t. I hope Lego sees this because this review is probably longer than their longest school essay. Good luck actually feeling satisfied with your new little app. But just know you broke everyone’s heart.

  • Still Kinda Bad

PositiveBubble047 here. LEGO Life, this app's predecessor, has shut down, meaning this is the new LEGO social platform. I had previously written a review when the app was in its premiere mode. My new stance is that LEGO Play has new, low quality features, and you aren’t instructed on how to use them. Also, some features aren’t even new. Let me give examples.

Minifigure Selfie: Put stickers on your digital minifigure.
We could already do this in LEGO Life when it wasn’t its own feature.

Mosaic Maker: Put stickers of LEGO tile pieces on a grid. We could do this previously.

Digital Building: Allows you to make a creation out of digital LEGO bricks. While cool, why wouldn’t you just build with actual bricks?

Grid: Put stickers or upload photos from your device. This is the way to post your own creations. On LEGO Life, you would take a picture or upload one, then add stickers, then post it. On LEGO Play, you go to create, select Grid, select Upload a Photo, select a photo, add stickers, then post it. Much more complex for no reason.

Additionally, the interface is much less straightforward than LEGO Life. Also, for the “full experience” you need to set up a LEGO Insiders account, which I have not. My point is, LEGO Play is quantity over quality.

  • Not exceptional.

This app is not nearly as good as the app it’s meant to replace. The layout is annoying, the moderators take too long compared to Lego Life’s moderators, and it’s missing many of the commonly used features from Lego Life. All of this causes it’s community to be significantly smaller than the previous one on Lego Life. This app has the potential to be good, but it shouldn’t have been released so early. Lego should have waited while they develop and test it more instead of releasing it as if it is only half complete.

  • Get rid of this

Buttons don’t work and games are carbon copies of other games. No one wants this app, you are actually losing support because of this app. Lego life is superior in every way. No matter how much you say “Oh, it will get better! Just you wait” NO. This app is so low rated that movie rip-offs look like peak entertainment compared to this piece of garbage. The posts take up the whole screen and it looks bad, and it’s name is even less creative than Lego Life’s. This app is not worth the work that you are putting into it. This ain’t c-tier, d-tier, or even an f-tier app. It is actual garbage! Nothing will fill the hole you are leaving in this community.

  • LL is better

Number one on LP you can’t use GIFs what’s up with that? Number two, they replaced trending, friends section and the creations gallery, for what? Just a huge Lego news gallery, I mean Instead of being able to see my friends’ creations, I get some Lego news like, WHY, if I wanted to see Lego news I would just go to the website! But no, and it’s not like I can look at my friends posts ON THE WEBSITE. Anyway sorry for the bad review Lego and please don’t block my account, but this needs to change, God bless.

  • Okay, so.

Why? I got this app and I completely hated it. I use an iPad, so I don’t have “the full experience” just add a landscape mode, where stuff isn’t so large and is not larger than the space of the screen. Just make an option to have a menu like Lego life had, compatible for both portrait mode and landscape mode, and multiple pictures could fit on the screen. Just do that, and maybe I won’t go over to LEGO headquarters and form a riot.

You’ve become something. Your not living up to your purpose as a toy company. Your becoming a cash-grabbing concern-ignoring greed-filled company. Just think about your life decisions for a while.

  • Ok still has some bugs

Hey YummyArtist092 here fromLego Life I think this is a good app overall but it still has some bugs and also did just let me update it and it is literally like kicking me out of the app and the update is gone and now like so if I went out to the kept kicking me out of the app. If I like went out the app to try to fix it literally like the update was gone not like the button but the thing that they had updated it’s like gone. It’s not there so it was like stop motion or something and I was like no it’s not there anymore like the button to do stop motion or do something yeah, it’s weird. There’s still some bugs, but that’s because it’s a new app and they’re still working on it so don’t don’t don’t don’t don’t get mad at it it’s it’s still a work in progress I know everybody is mad that Lego life is getting replaced by this app but that doesn’t mean it does it mean making another app is easy it is still hard to make an app they work just as hard to make a LEGO® Life and LEGO® Play so don’t doubt it because then if Lego life gets deleted, LEGO® Play might also get deleted so don’t be rude about it.

  • Lego play could never replace Lego life

This app is very bad every time I open it I have to log back in. It is very hard to see people’s posts. There is no trending page. Also there is no groups so the only way to see posts is the main area. There are more posts by Lego then anyone else! This app is terrible and don’t say change is hard because this so called change is Lego taking a failed attempt at making a better app for editing. Why couldn’t you just add on to the regular Lego life. If Lego life gets replaced I will not play Lego play. Does Lego even see how many people hate Lego play and love Lego life? The answer is yes but they don’t care. Lego play is complete garbage Lego just needs to except that! Also Lego life you can see peoples posts on groups trending and the main area so you could find more posts. But on Lego play there is only the main area and that is clogged up with digital creations. I thought Lego play was to inspire people to make or play with Legos! Lego life did and if you wanted to add things to make a new app just add those features to Lego Life! Also you can’t see any likes on past posts because you were not allowed to comment on Lego life 2 years ago and the like button is xed out so you can’t see likes from previous posts. You also can not react on anyone’s post which is how people did competitions. Add all this stuff and everyone on Lego Life will play Lego Play
