This app is everything I am looking for to have a quick glance of my day. The themes and interface are attractive and useful. Starts up fast. $4 is a lot for an app this basic, but it's usability easily makes up for the cost. A definite buy for anyone looking for an attractive look at todayMat4596

Whiners, go jump off a pier. This is not a $60,000 BMW. This is a $4 app. You buy a $60,000 BMW, you can complain all day long. But not here. Not for this. I do not work for whatever company makes this app, I just like good design. Time, date, weather, headlines, appointments, BAM! All beautifully displayed on a single page. Countdown from calendar events
I wish I had know that the countdown to an event was not linked to the calendar. I am helping someone with dementia caused by a stroke, and she worries all the time she is going to be late. She no longer has the ability to tell 9 is before 10, but she can understand she has an hour to her next appointment. It would be incredibly useful for her if the countdown could be linked to any calendar the ipad supports (internal, Google, .mac, etc). Form over function...
and style over substance are the two things that come to mind every time I open this app. The beautiful design is what lured me in - it's seriously the coolest-looking app I've ever seen - but, unfortunately, the beauty is not that much more than skin deep. The news feed and reminders modules are the least useful. Although it works very nicely with Calendar, I don't like how it interfaces with Reminders. It pulls from all of my Reminders lists and there is no way that I have found to customize it so that it pulls from just a single, designated list that shows the tasks for the day. The news feed pulls random stories only from rss enabled news sources - so partly customizable, but not nearly as useful for me as it could be.
I love the look of it so much that I will undoubtedly continue to use it, but it really should be more functional, especially given the price.Show lessWende :(
One-page Basics
The layout is great! It's nice to have headlines, weather and traffic all in one place. However, I don't use it as much as I thought I would. I don't think it contains all of the tools I normally use for my morning. I wasn't thinking about all of the other apps I use in the morning to get me going that this app probably can't access due to Apple limitations. Really good but missing a few things
This is a really useful app. Almost 5 stars. It is, however, missing a couple of things. It needs the ability to view in portrait mode, and it needs more choices of things to go in the tiles. I find I put a stock price in the last tile—even though I have no interest. That, or repeat the weather or the time or something, and that just looks stupid!Show lessSkooff7450
IF you are going to use something like this....
.....then let me kindly offer MY opinion about your money. I saw this on the top of the "productivity" category page and thought "THIS looks like what I've been wanting since I bought an iPad"! I was very excited. Instead of buying it, I did a simple search with the word "Dashboard". Several apps came up, but only the one called "My Dashboard" actually turned out to be what I've wanted.
Friends, I came back to this app and bought it specifically for the purpose of telling you about "My Dashboard". I do NOT work for them, nor have I been compensated for this review. If you're reading this, you're PROBABLY looking for the same thing I was. "My Dashboard" is SWEET. FAR more customizable, with more options for RSS and social feeds, and it is WAY better looking. This app is really nice to have, because it is in-synch with your calendar and events will pop up to remind you. The weather is quick to view, snip-its of current events and if you see one you'd like to read further, just click on it. I also like the stock market updates to see how I'm doing. Updates have improved it greatly!
The most recent updates have been very welcomed and make it a much nicer program. Colors are smooth and enjoyable looking. The new links to the news articles make it worthwhile to browse.

Exactly What I Needed
My calendars and to-do lists can seem overwhelmingly daunting which is why I love this app. This app provides a beautiful clean snapshot of your day, allowing you to focus on what is going on TODAY, not tomorrow or a week from tomorrow. It would be excellent if the commute incorporated subway systems and train delays, etc. I live in NYC and don't drive so it would be nice to see how the trains are running that day.Show lessartofjulie
