Review by a 45 year Programmer
Unfortunately they will never catch Google, which makes me sad as a ten year user. USA User and Programmer. First problem is being out of the UK, trying to compete in the US Market. Not even remotely close. Come on guys, I WANT you to succeed!
Honestly you will have to employ far smarter Engineers and Programmers/Coders. Scale 1–10 against Google who I hate and refuse to use? You’re a 1/One. Have to do better guys if you desire to compete in the US Market. If it’s a cost thing, which it always is, consider outsourcing to dark web coders/programmers. Tho known for dishonesty, they will at the very least, get you all up to American 2024 standards. I had to search ten times for the true owner on a HORSE in an American TV series. I never got to the true owner. That should speak volumes to you Engineers. You simply must do waay better. I want you to succeed. We HATE GOOGLE/Bezos! But to be the best in America requires a reality check on how you compete against the known best. Sadly, you’re sorely lacking. Come on UK Engineer’s! I am rooting for you. And have given you TEN years of my valuable time using only Duckduckgo. You MUST CATCH UP guys ok? Love and truths from America…smile. Get a Venture Capitalist for goodness sakes. I really want you to WIN!!

Fantastic Browser
I’ve been using this browser for more than 10 years. It keeps getting better every time I open it up and don’t have to look at the mass advertisement you will see on Google, Edge and Safari and Firefox. It’s nice to get on and see a straight forward streamline interface without distractions. Very easy to navigate the web without big brother standing over your back watching everything you do. I’ve had no problems going to any of my financial institutions websites or any websites at all. I get unbiased results on searches and no bias agenda. I’ve tried them all Edge, Bing, Google, Safari, don’t even come close. Firefox and Brave are the closest but still lack the ease of navigation and clear clean interface. Only thing I wish they did was have their own email system so I can dump the Gmail completely and kick Google completely to the curb, let them watch my back as I leave and sell that information.

Censoring and biased information. No longer private or unbiased results.
I’ve noticed a decline in the quality of search engine results lately. Previously, I could easily find helpful, data-driven information on topics like “What are the laws for X?” or “What happened at X event?” But now, instead of straightforward information, I’m mostly seeing fear-mongering articles, sensationalized, and biased content. Why can’t I read everything and make a decision on my own? It’s disappointing to see this trend, and it feels like this search engine is starting to resemble all the others. It used to be a reliable source, but now it’s losing what made it great. DELETING.

Going the google way
Used to be a private good browser, but now has gone the google route, every time you switch off Adverts or AI, it switches them back on in a day or two without telling you. Searches are also more google like, i.e. you don't get what you ask for, you get what they want you to see. Soon time to give up the Internet, it has been going steadily downhill for a long time.

I like DuckDuck Go
There are a number of features I like about DuckDuckGo Go. Data privacy is important to me and is the main feature. Others I’m not going to mention because it will alert the organizations and businesses to what they are and nec minute they will be using counter measures. All in all an excellent browser.

Privacy in epic proportions
I have no idea why it took me so long to install and use DuckDuckGo! I have long had an absolute HATRED in inexplicable measure of targeted advertisement, tracking of people and data collection.
I could make this review like ‘War and Peace’ however I’ll try keep to the point.
The internet is useful in so many ways however I absolutely do not want pop ups and adverts plastered over my browser left right and Charlie continuously. I will search for things I want to buy or take recommendations from friends for other things such as subscription based services.
DuckDuckGo seems to be a company that has designed their application and service with an ambition that matches my own which is to browse in relative privacy and without the constant annoyance of cookies, pop ups and adverts.
Hats off to the Devs, please forever stay true to the concept and never give in to financial temptations to stray from the design intent.
I can’t recommend this browser enough, everyone should definitely make it their default browser for everything and enjoy streamlined browsing 99% of the time without having to reject cookies every single page.

Search functionality
I love the app, the security, and the transparency in exactly how and when I’m being protected via the small icon in the address bar. When a site loads, for a moment it shows that yes it has successfully blocked a tracker and shows who.
I have one small feature that I wish was different. Unsure if this is even something y’all can do or not but her goes. So on my iPhone, when I pull down and search I see that it’s searching my phone but I have it set to give the option to search the web as the last option. Could yall give the option for DuckDuckGo be an option to search the web since it is my default browser? Unsure if that is possible or not on yalls end but it would be greatly appreciated. Several times I realized that I am not in fact on the DuckDuckGo browser.. I’d be on Safari.? Direct access to bookmarks
I can directly access my bookmarks with a single press. No annoying sidebar to open and close. I also like the clear user interface, and DDG’s famous privacy protection. My wishlist includes reader view, font size adjustment, and the ability to categorize bookmarks.
The default font size is way too small for my old eyes. That’s why I have to keep going back to the awful Safari.

Hacked
I don’t understand what the issue with these people are as this is the third one star review I have given them due to many errors I have seen from them. The one star review for this time is because as soon as my subscriptions were expired my iphone 15 pro max was hacked immediately and that’s because they have a really bad customer service and they are racist. I tried to work with them, but they wouldn’t work with me so I had no choice to give them bad reviews and they can’t get over it. I even mentioned if I get a call back with apology, I will alter my review and in the same review I mentioned that I will predict that these people are not gonna call to apologize because of their crappy customer service and what exactly happened. Nobody called to apologize but this time Luckily, nothing happened to my iphone when I checked it as it was the beginning when they got into my phone so they pretty much got into the private relay and they turned it off and everything was starting to not work then I reset it and each time you reset an iPhone it gives you a new IP address so I got lucky that I got to it early before anything happens . But I still have to reported and I’m also getting in contact with department of BBB see what the problem is with them. I don’t see an option where I can upload the screenshot that I have taken where they hacked me, but I wish they had an attachment where I can have the proof so everybody could see.
