Stay away, do not buy! It’s was great, in 2017. Now it doesn’t work
I loved it when I got it. I got one live for my friend. But he gave it back because he said that it was making him lose his focus on golfing and focusing more on trying to get it to work. I have emailed them multiple times, after buying the pro version. That was a nightmare. It’s a prototype at best. Free apps like golf logix do everything and more than this company’s line of products. They said that “our engineers are working hard to fix the login issues and the password reset problem” about 8 months ago. But I get all of these emails for deals. As if they’ve worked out the kinks. I wish it was what it was years ago, when it just worked. Now I just have two live devices and a pro device that all don’t work at all.

Frustrating and eventually a let down
Got the GG live as a present. Installed app on iPhone. Initially enjoyed using it and forgave the odd app crash and when the sync messes up all the information (so you have to sit there unpicking and manually inputting half your round).
Also using the gg live and app, drains the battery on my phone. I had to carry a spare power pack to make it past the 14/15th.
So the sync problems increased. Until eventually now the whole thing is just not working at all. I think it can still locate courses, but that’s about it.
Tried to contact gg via email support many times and no answer. Really poor/ zero customer service contact.
Today I will open the whole device up and try source-replace the battery myself. If that fails it’ll go in the bin.

Game Golf
Have had Game Golf devices from the very beginning and this ne Game Golf Pro had some teething problems which all new technology goes through, customer service has been first class whenever I have had a question or problem. I really like the fact that with the new tags you can actually change the battery which really helps if your club doesn’t register on the device, a really good step forward in my opinion.

Horrible - keeps crashing and I lose rounds all the time
Don’t spend your money on this. Definitely don’t spend it on the Pro. I’ve had the Live version for 3-4 years and have had issues with the app every once in a while. I don’t know if it’s the IOS update or something else, but have lost 4 rounds in the past 2 weeks. I tried resetting but that didn’t work either.
I love the tool when it works so thinking of buying Arcos as support from Game Golf has been bad.

Piece of rubbish
Sept. 2021. App has twice now not let me register any details properly. Knows only one word and the is ‘Oops’. Always says email is in use & to log in using it once failed so you do that then get a page of fault references. Devs at least make this piece of rubbish app work properly otherwise state to use a computer to make an account.

What happened?
I’ve used gamegolf for several years. Initially had gamegolf classic, but they stopped supporting that earlier this year which is annoying. I continued to use the rangefinder on the course until the last update. Now it won’t find courses or show anything. I checked the settings for location services and tried rebooting my phone, but at this point, nothing seems to be working. Looks like the last update (which appears geared around subscriptions to smart caddie) rendered the app useless for the average guy just using it as a rangefinder. Guess I have to start looking for another app to use.

As one of the original users of Game Golf I was looking forward to the new version, called PRO. Overall it is a pleasure to use both on the course as well as reviewing the round at home. Although being a new version there are a few technical problems, I have found their support system to excellent. Stan M.

Do not buy
Hands down worst golf app. Doesn’t track accurately. Terrible suggestions with the smart caddie. I’ll give it one star because the response time of the customer service telling me they couldn’t help me was pretty fast. Tried to edit my last round because on one hole it said i hit a putter off the tee when i clearly marked my driver and then when i changed it to driver said it hit the green on a par 4 - 345 yard shot. Then it tracked it back to the 5 iron i used on the next shot. Wouldn’t let me correct it so now my stats show now a driver 345 to which then i putted backwards 190 yards and then putted back to the green to put it in the hole. Terrible

Game golf Pro
Been using game golf since 2014. Recently Upgraded to Pro version and had several problems getting it set up. Customer service was excellent and responsive and addressed all issues. You are able to set up date/time to talk directly to person. Love the new version easy to use and accurate....highly recommend it to better understand your game

Game golf pro version
After waiting a long time for the sensors from game golf that have Replaceable batteries, I finally got to use this version twice so far. I was pretty impressed it worked well with only a couple of false shots, that were easily edited. The Smart caddie needs fixed, so I don’t use it. The shots weren’t tracked on my iPhone only my location on the course but with only using it twice it may have been something I did wrong. That’s not really a problem with me as long as the medallion worked, I don’t like to use the iPhone on course anyway. Michael P. At support has been very helpful on both my pro version and my classic version. He always responds very quickly and is very knowledgeable about both versions.
I’m not a good golfer but love to play and it nice to look back at my rounds and see what I did good and bad and the Pro version it’s easier to use not tapping the sensors on every shot.
