VALUE FOR MONEY

I’ve had both versions whereby it has help me improve my game. I’ve received amazing customer care whereby when I had problem with my tags I was sent a new set with no costs to me. I lost my divot repair tool I was sent a new one. When the batteries on the tags went I was sent the tool as well as informed which battery would work as well as Michael sent me videos how to use the tool.

With technology it’s never perfect. I found the golf caddie very helpful whereby it’s approximately 90% accurate with the wind speed & yardage. Club recommendation is precise hence it improved my game as well as dropped my handicap. I would highly recommend this pro as well as I found the customer care was beyond my expectations.

Pro option is great and support even better

Had to contact the support team to help me configure the app for the Pro. Really impressed with the service. I used the chat facility to post a question and the support team contacted me within minutes directing me towards what I needed to do and this was despite it being over the holiday weekend.

Updated and support returned!

The new pro tags have replaceable batteries and updating firmware in Bothel the medallion and tags is easier than ever - Michael in support has been very helpful in getting my issues worked out and although one of my tags is not working at the moment and smart caddie is down most of the time when it is all working correctly it is fantastic - if I could get even 5 rounds in without some problem it would be 5 stars and I will renew my review with 5 once that happens ! Fantastic product in theory - I am sure the bugs will get fixed and the best product on the golf market will be available to everyone and for what it does in strokes gained will change your game! Enjoy it!

No longer works

Worked great for a few months when I first got it a year and a half ago. It is all but useless now. App works standalone but not with the trackers. Support was no help. “Reinstall”. “It must be the phone”. They refused to acknowledge that the product wasn’t working. Pity because it was good until an update broke it (presumably).

**** update **** A year later they have responded and offered to help, which it seems they are doing to all the old, negative reviews. In my case too little, too late. I got rid of it long ago and moved on to a better competitive product.

Great game improvement

I’ve been using Game Golf Live for just over a year and it has helped cut my handicap by 6 shots. It’s given me a great awareness of how far I hit each club and more importantly the areas I needed to improve.
To try lower my handicap further I subscribed to the Smart Caddie option yesterday and today I went out and shot 78 which is 6 shots under my handicap. The course I play on is by the sea and gets very windy and the Smart Caddie was great in giving me the right club to hit. Here’s looking to get my handicap down to single figures. Not bad for a 62 year old who thought his chance of improving his game had gone.

Best out there!

After some problems and lack of communication on their part, Game Golf is back! I have used a Live device for a couple years now and it had stopped tracking me. I sent an email to support and Magic Michael responded! Oh Yea! He guided me as to how to reset my device and all’s well now! They are NOT out of business. Life is good!

Okay

The app is clunky and I often have to go back to correct shots. Last time I played I ended up playing a couple of shots up a parallel fairway of a hole I’d finished earlier. The app skipped back to that hole and added the two shots to that hole! So the scorecard showed a triple boggy on the prior hole and and Eagle on the hole I was on!

When I finish a round the scorecard is always wrong. I then go back into the round, change nothing, save again, and suddenly the score is right!

Rounds lost, no customer support

Firstly, I like this app when it works. It needs a few corrections at the end which is normal. The app and round uploads have always been poor and painfully slow and glitchy but worth it if you persevere.

However, today I signed for my round on my watch and my round has disappeared. I could see most shots had been picked up on the watch but on the app it’s showing 2 shots for the whole round. I downloaded the round data from my ‘live’ device thinking that would fix it and find the data, but nothing. The data is stored centrally from what I see so you’re completely reliant on them to handle your data safely.

I went to customer services on their website and none of the links work. A google search got me no further.

Last week I wasn’t able to get it to start a round so went without. I get the feeling this product is on its way out with customer support being removed so I couldn’t recommend the app (or tracker) to anybody. Shame!

Potential

This app has the potential to be one of the best. But the interface is just so 2015 now. DEVELOPERS - please update the app, this is by far the best app for golf with it’s easy use but I’m looking at other apps now because it’s just so dated, like you don’t care anymore? I think you’d actually see more income from people using your services if it was as basic. I had the device version for about 3-4 years and then moved to mobile for ease but 7 years on, not a lot has changed. Sort it out guys.
