App and tags are good but that’s it

I’ve been a GameGolf user for years and overall I’m happy with the product. The reason for this review is solely based on the app and the support. First of all, the app is very glitchy, and requires a few restarts to get it going. I’ll download a course beforehand, then the app will want to download it again. Second, whatever you do DO NOT subscribe to the Smart Caddie. The two times I tried it it took over 20 minutes to work after it was done “downloading the weather”. It isn’t worth the money. And finally, don’t ever expect to get any kind of support. Their support page is no longer working and if you try to email them, it bounces back.

Overall I’m happy with the hardware and basic app usage, but that’s it. If it wasn’t so expensive I’d switch to Arccos.

Does not work

I’ve had my Game Golf device for years now and it has worked flawlessly... until end of 2019. The desktop application does not work on Mac and PC. From my understanding the new operating systems forced every app developer to update their apps to spec, but I guess Game golf did not do so. So, the Mac application icon is unavailable, which caused me to remove it and re-download it, but of course it has the same issue. The error message reads, “the developer of this application needs to update it.”
Why is this a problem if it’s not an iPhone app you might ask? Because you cannot download any of your rounds to the computer, which syncs to your phone. Therefore, any Game golf device DOES NOT WORK. Please DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNTIL GAME GOLF FIXES THE DESKTOP APPLICATIONS.

P.s. I’ve contacted Game golf a few times now and still waiting for a response. Reminder: works on neither Mac nor PC as of May 2020.

Out of Business?

The support link in the App Store fails because the server cannot be found. I have been unable to login on the web, on the app or transfer rounds from my”Classic” device. Shouldn’t Apple have a process for removing dead companies apps from their store?

Won’t work

Bought it and can’t even use it website and app won’t let you log in and keep getting error message

Support just isn’t there.

The tagging of the clubs works ok, but it’s the app and the online support that it useless.

Firstly it’s logged me out of the app, I can’t log back in saying my password is wrong, you can’t reset it as well.
You can’t log onto the website because you get the same error.

Go to the support pages and you get error 404.

Add to that a number if tags have broken through the impact with just the ball I would say avoid at all costs

No support

When I first started using the Pro version, it worked great. At the end of last year, it stopped working in the middle of a round. I had to reset the medallion. When I started using it this year, it took the entire round to download the course even though I downloaded the course the night before and didn’t track any shots. The next time I tried to use it, I started the download when I got to the course and it finished downloading on the 3rd hole. Then, the smart caddie feature wasn’t working. The same thing happened the next time I used it. It was tracking my shots but stopped tracking them on the back 9. The smart caddie feature still wasn’t working. I tried to look on the website for support, I kept getting an error message saying that page wasn’t available. I tried to use the support on the app and it wouldn’t go to the support page. I also tried to email the support website and haven’t gotten a response. I don’t know if they want you to buy another medallion when it quits working but if I have to buy another one, I will buy another brand.

Stopped working and support non-existent

I was an enthusiastic user for two years, worked well and support was quickly provided when needed.
All changed a few months back.
Site was down for some time and device wouldn’t work.
Now device is malfunctioning, support site has vanished and no response to my emails.
Totally useless.
Avoid.

Unpredictable Use

I just renewed after my initial purchase a little over a year ago (Had a few issues during the initial year, nothing major). Since my subscription renew of Smart Caddie in February 2020 this year I have been having glitchy service and this weekend the app won’t load at all. I tried going to support pages and keep receiving an error message regarding the server can’t be reached. I haven’t experienced any consistent use with the app since February this year.

Used to love not anymore

I used to love this app and would have rated it 5 out of 5 for the first 2 or 3 years but unfortunately gone down hill rapidly. Caddy very rarely works and no one seems to care or gets back to you when you email. Sad to say clearly there are issues with the app and no one cares.
