STAY AWAY

I purchased a Pro unit in May. I could not update the firmware on all of the tags because they already had low batteries. Contacted customer service and they said they’d send replacement tags because the batteries could not be replaced. It’s now mid August and I have not received the replacement tags yet. Tried the pro unit for 4 rounds and it recorded about half of my holes. The pro unit fell off by belt and was lost so I prefer a replacement at the end of May for an additional $125 and still have NOT received the order. What’s even worse is customer service has stopped answering my emails and Messenger chat for about 8 weeks now. I would not recommend this product in any way. It did not work out of the box and the customer service has been the worse I have ever seen. Stay away and save your money.

Game Golf needs to get their act together

Still using GG Live as the Pro has been an absolute crap shoot for anyone who’s tried it. Unfortunately, whatever “updates” they’ve made to the app have caused the product to function even worse than it used to. I’ve gone through and made sure I’m using the most up-to-date firmware and software, but it’s futile. I’ve taken the time to correct all the missed tags and misplaced shots for multiple rounds only to have it save a few holes or shots when I go to upload the round. Game Golf no longer appears to be listening to the people that actually use their product and are determined to drive this thing into the ground...

Works pretty good

*update*

After never being able to get the app to work on course I wiped the app off my phone and reinstalled it. Works well now after doing that. There are still some bugs here and there like shots showing up on the previous hole or the wrong hole altogether and after I’ve signed my round it’s deleted data from several holes necessitating having to hook the device up to the computer to resign from there. All in all pretty good though.

Game Golf Pro

I have been a Game Golf live user for about 3 years now, I have over 300 rounds using GG Live and now Pro. GG Pro has Been a labor of love, I have been a beta tester for 6 months now and have been working closely with Michael, we have been working out some of the bugs together still working on some of the mapping issues, This past month I have now had a few 100 percent shot detection (putting included) rounds. I believe this product is a great access to the amateur golfer who wants to improve their play!

Disaster

I used Game Golf Live and it changed my game for the better. I was very excited when Pro came out because of the elimination of tagging shots and the caddy feature. I could not be more disappointed. This app and the sensors for Pro are a disaster. It took me over an hour to initially set-up and and update the sensors, having to retry multiple times on individual sensors. 2 weeks ago the app just completely failed to open. I had to delete and reload and it still didn’t work. Then, low and behold, as I’m packing up to leave the course, the app opens and is ready to use. Last week, the app failed to register any shot that I hit during the round. I now have spent more time trying to update the sensors. Some sensors update, others do nothing. You could hold the magnet to it all day and nothing. If someone from the company reads this, get this fixed immediately or I want my money back. This is completely ridiculous.

Doesn’t work well on newer phones

I had the app and it worked brilliantly on an iPhone 6s with a pebble watch but now have an iPhone XR and when the phones in my pocket the yardages don’t update so it can look like I’m still 300 yards away from a hole when there is only 100 yards to go. I’ve stopped using the pebble watch because I need to take out the phone and wait for yardages to update. Not as real-time as it was - if the speed of updating yardages while in the pocket was fixed I’d continue using but for now, will experiment with other apps. Don’t spend money on this one!

The app is regressing

I would tell anyone that listened to me to download this app. I’ve used it for years and loved it even more when paired with my Apple Watch. With all of that said, I feel like the app is going backwards. I am using the pro device this season and I am really disappointed in the usability. In accurate gps placements, random strokes logged, and the auto hole switching is a nightmare. Moreover, I can only end my round from the watch and not the app. Lastly, support isn’t the best to be honest, which is pretty bad considering I purchased their premium (and $$$$) product.

FWIW, this is my first review; that’s how annoyed I am.

Garbage app lots of bugs find another

Worked well in 2017. Now extremely frustrating, freezes everytime I use it. Try Golf GPS instead.

I’ve had GG since version 1. Familiarity is the only reason its still around

I’ve been seriously thinking about switching over to Golfshot every season around this time. But since I have 3 seasons worth of shots and data, I tend to stick with GG. But I don’t use the sensors anymore. I figured they’d have sorted the sensor problems by version 3. No, but they did sign Revolution Golf as a sponsor. I figured they’d find a way for the watch app not to eat my entire battery in 9 holes too. Nope.

Theoretically, this means they’re flush with money to fix problems. Doubt it.

Terrible product

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. It does not work as advertised and you spend the whole round fixing the data that they claim it will do automatically. The customer service team stand by a product that clearly doesn’t not work and are not happy to help you!!!
