  • Good puzzles, smooth gameplay, crap story

So, the game plays pretty well, and it has pretty decent puzzles, but the story is a huge letdown. The first 2/3 or so is pretty decent—lots of intriguing mystery and a nice dose of humor—but then the gameplay drags a bit and the story offers as many new questions as it does answers. Normally, that would be fine, but **SPOILER ALERT** the ending comes out of nowhere and it's completely unsatisfying. None of the big questions are answered and the "resolution" makes no sense. I'd guess they're setting up for a sequel, but it's more annoying than intriguing.

  • Great Adventure Game; truncated storyline. Sequel?

This game is graphically awesome - especially the cutscenes. It took me a while to get "into" the game but about an hour into play it picks up. I really enjoyed this, but the ending was a bit.. Anticlimactic? Typically games have more time/budget allocated to the beginning over the ending, because most players never reach the end. But this felt like one of those anime shows that overtakes the manga, and they have to cobble together a satisfactory non-ending for what was otherwise a dope storyline.

This felt a bit like one of those shows. Worth your time and $3, most definitely. I hope there's a sequel. It's also possible to screw yourself up by doing the wrong things on the wrong days in the second half of the game, so pay attention to what the character says.

  • Amazing Story

I couldn't put it down. I hope they make a sequel! At first I didn't like that the game didn't have voice overs for the characters but as the game goes on you realize why and it makes it more intriguing like reading a book where you are wrapped up in the story line and imaging who the characters are. It was very well done. 5 stars!!

  • Brilliant game play. Brilliant story.

This was one of the best games I've played in a long time. The gameplay was intuitive and smart and I never found a stupid part where I was stuck. There was a lot of dialogue and at first I was annoyed by it but it really does play out fantastically. The writing was epic. The story should be a film really but to wrap It into game play stole me. I love point and click games and this one is amazing.

  • Woah.

The mental capacity required to play this game is unbelievable. It's a beautiful game, but be prepared to play it a few times, if you don't have a clear understanding of time. I don't mean being able to tell time either. This game is intense to the point where you might have to pause it a couple times to handle it. Oh and that little suggestion that says play it with headphones? DO IT. THE GAME WITH HEADPHONES IS INSANE.

  • Enjoyable

I found the game to be enjoyable. The controls are good, and the game is long enough so it doesn't feel like a waste of money but not too long that it gets boring.

My only problem was that the story towards the end gets a bit confusing, and you are left with more questions than answers. I would have liked a bit more closure that would at least tie more of the loose ends together.

Despite that, I do recommend the game for Adventure Game fans.

  • Meh

I am giving this three stars because the graphics are good, and the game is ok. It is not challenging by any means. If you pick the wrong thing to do, you keep choosing options until you chose the right one. The in between scenes really drag out, and some you can't make go any faster. Lastly the actions completed by the character are not even close to real. If you pick up a rock to break something, he will bend over and you will hear a crack sound...and that is it. No other animation.

  • An original point-and-click with a great story

Hard to believe, I know. After playing through so many initial chapters of other unfinished adventures it was a breath of fresh air to find a complete game. It's not skimpy either. The game takes many hours to beat.

The story is top notch, despite a handful of typographical or grammatical errors. The graphics are good and have a neat style. Maybe it's the game dev in me, but I am most impressed with the cut scene system. Some great camera techniques, scene cuts, and special effects. Great care obviously went into making this game.

  • Very nice game

This is up there with Bastion as one of my favorite adventure/rpg games on iOS. The concept is very smart. The puzzles are great-- without any necessary prior experience, you will be building a circuit, dismantling a firearm, taking on a poker shark and beating a chess master.

Some of the gameplay suffers from an awkward navigation system, though. Certain rooms and areas only appear if you approach them at a certain angle. I completely missed the kitchen in his apartment for the first few missions, and only found the oven by searching the (irl) internet for a walk through.

I just finished for the fist time, but I think I'll play through again and see if anything changes. An alternate ending would be ace, but if not, I'm still satisfied with the experience. Definitely worth the price.

  • Lost Echo is great interactive storytelling

Has all the usual point-and-click adventure features of exploration, conversation, inventory combination, and mini-puzzles that you'd expect. None of them are too hard that you'll get annoyed, nor is there much running back and forth to get all the pieces. But what really sets "Lost Echo" apart is the story, which is intriguing and cleverly laid out. Well worth a bit of cash for a couple hours' entertainment.
