  • Queue system imperfect, otherwise great

Queuing is great, but the implementation is weird. Add to queue should *add* to now playing, regardless of whether what is playing was added through the queue system. If you play a track or album without enqueuing things and then *add* to it later, the current queue gets wiped and it starts playing the added tracks. Weird decision there. That’s honestly the biggest issue, so pretty easy 4 stars, but it could be better.

  • Way too restrictive

There are tons of places to listen to music online. I am here specifically because I like being able to support the artists directly. But the constant spamming of “please open your wallet” and blocking me from listening to a track more than twice has got to stop. It does NOT make me more likely to buy the album. It makes me more likely to switch to some other service (and thereby stop supporting artists at all). Stop going out of your way to make my experience miserable, and I’ll stick around, and gladly pay for the music I love (AFTER I know that I love it, not when I’ve hardly even heard it yet).

  • Generally good but problems with Queues and CarPlay crashes

Generally good (love being able to download albums) but problems with Queues and CarPlay crashes — getting crashes every time I try to open the app with car play. Opened fine first time I set up my device with CarPlay and opened Bandcamp, but now, no matter what, the app fails to open through CarPlay (black screen & instant crash), no other app does this!! Please fix!!!

  • Artistic

Bandcamp has opened up a whole new performing artists for me. I am impressed by not just the music that these talented artists, but the visual perspective that is also woven into the fabric.
My main port of call on Bandcamp is Jazz and all it’s genres. It’s good to know that these talented artists are composing and playing some of the most inspiring music out there.

  • Too many missing features

Don’t get me wrong, I love bandcamp, I’m listening to it rn while I’m writing this review, however some of the missing features are incredibly annoying. Firstly the app doesn’t let you buy digital albums, currently my computer is broken and the app is all I have and I can’t even buy digital albums. Discovering music is also a lot less accessible. For example the “surprise me” filter isn’t on this app and I can’t even see the recently released albums. Overall I fond the missing features to ditract from the over all experience and I’m confused why we can’t even have a surprise me option

  • The real rabbit hole of niche music

I remember navigating and getting lost in random sections on the genre of music the platform has to offer back in 2012 in my old lap top. This app definitely has a galore of music genre to keep you busy and also get you to discover different artists in small niche of groups, nevertheless you may find that your music palette is way broader than you think.

  • Bandcamp

Easy to use great to listen to from your iPhone or computer wherever you go.
Also keeps you updated on your favourite artist and upcoming albums
  • Embraces excellence

Bandcamp is just so much better than the competition. I get to stream things before buying, and when I do decide to buy I get the album forever - its not a subscription service, which I absolutely love! What’s more - you’re more directly supporting the artists you listen to - this actually motivates me to spend my money on albums I’ve enjoyed.

  • The Primary Digital Music Platform.

This is where I hold ownership of almost all the digital albums/tracks I own, I hold the service highly and have been happy with the directions they’ve taken with updates to it.
Direct downloading of lossless files, not to mention a selection of other formats, is super useful. It has a good means of discovering unique, genuine artists from different areas that I’ve found to be really interesting to listen to; this app/sites social side has continued to serve gleefully. Addition of downloading to mobile on the app has been a good one too.
The team inform on update logs, unlike other app logs, and it’s informative to us, the users. The more we get feedback and details on updates the more we can form a constructive opinion on changes made.
It’s been very fair to users to upload and sell music on Bandcamp too, of which I am very grateful for the level of service provided here, though I keep a watchful eye as business tends to go the cheapest lose out further: I keep an eye and I hope that financial and sales means don’t start getting the small artist mugged off for any less. This is a truly good site with truly good potential to be the best of the best, don’t mess it up for us please.

Lovin bandcamp for days bruh (*´Д`*)

  • Great app for underground music

You can find a ton of great music. But I think the user interface can be updated a tad bc the current format if you have a lot of music in ur wishlist or purchases it takes awhile to scroll through. Also dark theme would be appreciated. Should also add a search feature for the artists that you follow so you don’t have to scroll to find a particular artist page. Also the app doesn’t allow you to scroll through all the artists you follow, I can only do that on the website.
