Good not perfect

What I really need, which this app just does not provide is something that allows me to prioritize things according to their monetary value, the estimated duration of the task, and the overall value of the task.

Still the best option

I’ve been using this App for my personal organisation for a long time and always found it really useful. Unfortunately, I do now have to pay to get some of the useful features like reminders and repeating tasks. I tried a number of other apps but none of them are as flexible and have as many good features. It’s easy to tag tasks and create different lists to slice and dice things. You can also add notes and attachments.
The additional reminders could be improved by being as they used to be allowing you to set a specific date and time before the due/start date rather than the current 1 day, 1 week etc.

Removed a crucial feature to the existing app

I’ve been using the older version of ToDo for years. I have no need for the cloud version and was perfectly happy with the version I had. Instead of trying to innovate new features to attract subscribers the developers decided in the most recent update to REMOVE a feature (repeating tasks) and put it behind a subscription paywall. Poor form. I’m deleting this app and moving on to a paid one from a developer who respects their customers.

Best Todo App Upon the iOS AppStore!

Best todo app upon the iOS AppStore! I’ve been using Appigo’s Todo app since 2009 and it’s been a life saver. There are SO MANY things that I forget day to day but Todo reminds me if I write them down right away. This app will honestly change your life if you use it properly. As a writer, I constantly use Todo to write down small things that I want to remember later. This is an app which every busy professional and freelancer should have. It effortlessly works across all devices and backs up instantly through the cloud. Seriously, download this app, it will change your life! :)

Extremely buggy

Flashy features with poor execution. Bugs piling up. I’ve had an outstanding ticket open for months about a phantom overdue task. The browser interface is broken on Chrome. There has to better task manager apps out there. Go find one.

Mandated sign-up to use. No thank you!

Forcing users to set up an account and sign in is bad form.

Synching our todos to your servers is privacy invading.

Requiring a subscription to use basic features is an anathema.

This app was once the best ToDo app out there. Brilliant design, convenient, easy to use, powerful.

But after years of glitches; upgrades that deleted all our todos; the dropping of the marvelous companion app Notebook (sold off to another company that abandoned it); and the failure to provide for *local* synching to our Macs, we had to abandon it and stop recommending it to others.

We would gladly have paid for new versions or pro versions with real improvements. Instead, upgrades were often retreats, steps backwards, with pay walls and hefty subscriptions.

Sad, very sad.

Response from developer

Dear AstroPaul, I understand your frustration and disappointment with the recent changes to our app. Your feedback is crucial to us, and I want to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience these changes have caused you. We recognize that forcing users to create an account and sign in, as well as syncing todos to our servers without explicit consent, can be seen as invasive and privacy concerns. Please know that we take your privacy seriously, and we are actively working to address these issues to provide a more user-friendly experience. Regarding the subscription model, we understand that this may not align with everyone's preferences. Our intention is to sustainably support and improve the app's functionality over time. However, I hear your concerns about the perceived value and the impact on your user experience. I want to express my gratitude for your past support and loyalty to our app. It's deeply saddening to hear that you've had to abandon it after years of being a dedicated user. Your feedback about the glitches, upgrades, and the discontinuation of Notebook is invaluable to us, and we're committed to learning from these experiences to improve our offerings in the future. I want to assure you that your feedback is heard, and we're continuously striving to make meaningful improvements to our app. If there's anything specific you'd like to discuss or if you have further feedback, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly at support@appigo.com. Noticeable Performance Improvement in 10.1.0

Responsivity is near real time now. Must have hired new talent because you can’t teach this stuff.

It’s not real time enough, however, to prevent bait-and-switch substep selection, causing you to check off the wrong project or checklist after the app takes too long to sync and update.

On the other hand, when you move through a repeating project or checklist slowly, checking off the sub tasks as you go, the app forgets about substeps after a certain period. So the next time you go through the procedure, some of the earlier steps are missing.

And when you accidentally check off a project or checklist, all of the substeps are also checked off as one would expect. As one would NOT expect, on the other hand, when you correct the error, all of the substeps are still checked off. So you heave to go through the entire project or checklist and uncheck every substep. Very time consuming.

We're happy to hear you're loving the new update! We serve to please. Happy DOING!

My go-to task app!

I’ve tried just about every tasks app out there and I’ve used this one successfully for years. I think it’s the best thing going!

I’m not sure how long the server has been down…

But my app no longer sinks and I haven’t been able to find anyone give me tech-support. My device used to sync perfectly well over iCloud. Pushing us to use Appigo’s proprietary network did not improve the service however I’m sure it helped to improve their profit margin (but at the expense of the apps performance.) I’m very disappointed.

Once Upon A Time…

Once Upon A Time this was my go-to task manager. It had everything. But it seems like the company has not kept things up-to-date. The most glaring omission in their product range is an Apple Watch app. Why haven’t they developed an Apple Watch app like every other task manager app worth its salt?
