Loved it!!! A week long event with over 100 speakers made soooooo easy with Whova!
Having the app on my phone made it easy to access anywhere! I was able to check the agenda and set reminders for the ones that I wanted to tune in to. And the ones that I missed, I can simply watch the recording!!
    I highly recommend it!!

  • Great conference tool!

Whova was a great tool for our first virtual Maine School Boards conference. It enabled us to participate with live speakers and we will be able to review other clinics we weren’t able to attend during our two day meeting. I was able to hold several informal virtual meet ups to connect with other board members. It was easy to use both the mobile app and the web app. I would have preferred to have more options available from the mobile app on the web app—I was at home and would have liked to have those on the larger screen. But overall, nice experience and had no major problems with either platform.

  • Easy to Use Conference App

I participated in a remote conference using Whova recently and was impressed with its performance and functionality. Seven months into the pandemic, I’ve used several of these apps for virtual conferences and meetings. Whova is perhaps the best one I’ve used so far: it’s easy to navigate, allows participants to create meet ups, has a job messaging area, and other functionality I have not seen before. The only thing that I think the developers need to work on is to make it easier to toggle between sessions and the overall agenda. That seemed to actually work better on my iPhone that on my laptop.

  • high maintenance app

The amount of pop-ups and notifications the app shows is probably the highest I've ever seen. It's hard to do anything basic in the app because it's all obscured by notifications, tutorials and unhelpful suggestions that are unrelated to the task you're trying to achieve.

Incredibly hard to navigate with all the fluff obscuring the basic scheduling functionality and unreadable personal messages constantly sent to you from the app itself.

  • Awesome app!

The past couple of years our annual teacher’s convention has been canceled due to hurricanes, so when GACS was able to go virtual via Whova this year (because of corona), I was so exited! I loved being able to comment on the videos while watching, especially considering the videos were pre-recorded, so the speakers were in the audience replying to our comments. I love the in person conferences, but it thought this was a great alternative. The app was easy to navigate, and I love that you are able to set 10 minute reminders before each class started. Overall it was a great experience.

  • The next best thing to bring there!

The Whova app made my first multi-day virtual conference an unexpectedly rewarding experience. Installation was simple, loading the meeting info was a snap, and selecting among optional sessions was a breeze. I liked the ability to flip quickly between My Agenda and the whole conference agenda to see what I might be missing. The embedded video links were seamless on my iPhone and conveniently linked out to a desktop for larger format viewing. The session Q&A and real-time chat functions created the interactive piece that is usually lacking in most web conferences. Virtual conferences will never quite match in-person events but Whova makes it feel like you’re part of a real meeting!

  • Very quirky, but works if you work at it

We used this for an annual industry conference this year due to COVID. Many participants experienced audio and visual difficulties. We were able to work through this using the Whova chat function and logging in to the meetings directly on Zoom.

Be very careful not to click on any chat “pop ups” that appear on your screen when you are in a session. If you do, you will be removed from your session to view the chat box. When you reenter the session, you will be put into the session “waiting room” and the session facilitator will need to readmit you.

I do hope that we can begin to have our conferences in person again soon. This conferencing platform is a great idea, and I’m sure Whova will work through the bugs in their software over time. However, there are so many software bugs and usability issues that an app like this will never be able to take the place of in person learning.

  • Exceptional interface for online interaction

Combining live zoom presentations with multiple virtual exhibitors, conference attendee chat functions and more...I can’t imagine a conference, class or event this app would not be a great supplement to. Even when we can go back to meeting in person, it is valuable to connect with attendees, be able to go back and watch speakers your schedule wouldn’t allow at the time of the live event, etc.

I was an attendee and felt it was seamless. I will have to read reviews of those who had to use it to create the virtual event but can’t imagine it want also intuitive for organizers. I bet my daughter wishes her professors would use this!!!

Thanks to the app I was able to ‘attend’ a virtual conference spread over three months.
I particularly liked the way the app could tell me my local time for each session and how I could view recorded sessions sometimes prio to the ‘real’ event, sometimes after the conference days had closed.
I also liked being able to post a question to the presenter of a session that could be answered by a text even before the session.
I found the ‘games’ a bit much and did not enter these, eg polls, points, rewards etc.
It was good to be able to have Zoom sessions with other attendees although these really needed to be restricted to suitable local times.
The contacts when necessary to work out when and how to view sessions replied promptly.
    Thanks for Whova!

Wow! There were so many reasons why I would recommend Whova. I wasn’t on the team of coordinating all of this, however, you must have an awesome team to come together to make this all happen from the speaker platforms to the vendor tables. I would have liked to have understood more on how the videos for vendors were being shared so that we were able to get more hits. I loved the messaging systems to be able to communicate with everyone including the speaker. Our LifeAct team would like to mimic some of your processes within our own organization. Thanks again for all that you do.
