Seamless Networking and Organization: A Review of the Whova App at CCAB's 40th Anniversary Celebration
I recently had the pleasure of attending the 40th anniversary celebration of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business, and I must say, the experience was truly enriched by the Whova app. This innovative platform provided a seamless and interactive environment that enhanced my networking opportunities and kept me on track throughout the event.
One of the standout features of the Whova app was its ability to connect attendees efficiently. Despite time constraints, I was able to engage with participants whom I might not have had the chance to meet otherwise. This aspect of the app truly added value to my overall experience, allowing for meaningful connections and conversations.
I never had to worry about missing out on key activities or dining options, as the app provided all the necessary information at my fingertips.

I attended a 3 day medical conference and for the first time, used the Whova app.
It made it very easy to connect with other participants and be aware of all the events, meetings and presentations going on so I could make the most of the conference. At times, when I had a tight schedule… joining virtually was really handy. I loved that all the presentations were able to be downloaded, that I could be in touch when the people I wanted to and that I could share my interests through the app.
Another positive element of the Whova app is reduced the need for conference admin. I have been to many conferences and usually see the conference organisers busy running around sorting out ‘admin’ responsibilities and fixing issues. I don’t think I have every seen a group of conference organisers so relaxed and available. Although this may also reflect the organisation culture- I believe a large part was utilising Whova. The organisers gave reference to it multiple times and it was obvious that most if not all the participants in-person and on-line were using the Whova app constantly.
I am not very tech savvy, so the fact that first time use was very easy for me, gives this app a 10/10 for useability. In addition the documents, contacts and video streams are all available post conference- giving an opportunity to reflect and give me more ‘take aways’ from the conference. And that is what makes Whova most valuable to me!

I was first introduced to Whova as a exhibitor/sponsor of a conference that I attended in May 2024. As an exhibitor, this platform really helped me to be organized and keep a virtual presence with conference attendees that were using this app. I was to upload brochures about my business, videos, and giveaways. It helped me to keep track of visitors that came to my booth and made it easy to interact with attendees at the conference. It also allowed me to exchange information with attendees post conference as well. I could go on as there are a lot of really neat things about this app that could be used in different settings of conferences. The only drawback would be that some attendees did not use the Hoover app to interact. With time and recognition I think this would be easily overcome as it is easy to use a communication tool before and after the conference setting.Show lessleftybec

Whova was great at helping keep out to date with the event’s program whilst eliminating the need for paper and fostering connection between attendees.
Any program changes were easily managed and communicated through in a quick and timely manner ..
