Reviews of RadioApp

  • Hmmm🤫

Seems to me like “radio app”isn’t a thing for people who are interested in listening to the good ole fashioned “radio” on your device…(phone, tablet, etc)

I guess I am trying to say that the radio app is not a development app for people who are genuinely interested in listening to music (am/Fm “old school” radio stations via this app. It’s not hidden from anyone yet because it’s a very big invasion of privacy for another “person” whom you download the “app” with intentions of using it to listen to them, etc. I think it’s the entire point of the app. (Why’s it say: “now hidden from widgets?” 🤷🏾‍♀️just a lil hunch.
  • Radio Stations Stopped Working

Some years ago playback was smooth across any station I wanted to listen to. I don’t know what changed, but since a few years ago the app almost never works. It just sits at Buffering or Unavailable for all those stations which used to work. I’ll get 10-20 seconds or so of playback between multiple minutes of waiting and annoyingly, most of that playtime seems to come from ads rather than the radio music. In other words, the app is completely useless.

I wish it provided more details so I could look into what’s wrong. How about showing the streaming url so I can check if it’s the station or the app that’s broken?

An example of a broken station: MAGIC 106.7 in near Boston, MA.
  • Can’t save songs anymore?

This was the perfect app with all the stations I’d want to hear and more. I eagerly paid to support it but the most recent upgrade seems to have taken away one of my favorite features. It would identify the song and artist, then I could open it in Apple Music to save to my library. Now today I don’t see that anymore. It greatly reduced my ability to use this for music discovery while listening to all the my favorite college and independent radio stations. Please try to return this feature and I would rate it 5 stars.
