Bad update

The recent update has made the app almost unusable. It can now take easily up to a minute to connect to cameras. This is useless if you want to see who is at the front door.

You’ve broken the orientation functionality on iPad in your last update. You now need to first use in portrait mode, before moving to landscape. It also forgets the last camera group it was connected to. So you have to remember to select a camera group each time the app starts. Can’t believe this was intended functionality, just poor testing.

New version faulty

Can’t name individual devices. I have the same NVR available via 3 routes (local, no-ip etc) change one name and they all change - useless! You should have seen that and fixed it before release. It’s still not fixed. How hard can it be to fix it? Not easy to change from hd to sd. In fact sd isn’t even listed, you’ve invented your own name “clear” whatever that is. Hard to locate and use recorded video. Old version had rows of tools at the bottom, now they are hard to find and I have 3/4 of my screen white, just wasted space! Thanks for your reply Such a shame that you, the developer, can’t resolve what seems like a simple coding problem. Perhaps you could hire a coder to do this for you?

Very good app

I have recently ‘upgraded’ my nvr to one that this app supports. I have to say the ‘absence’ of advertising is a massive bonus. It functions very well and seems stable. Good work, well done.

Better layout but seems slower to start up

The update to the app has perhaps improved the appearance but it seems to take a lot longer to start up, I hear a noise and fire up the app and by the time it’s connected and pictures come through it’s too late. Previous version seemed instantaneous.....

Good update, still some issues though

Wrote this months or years ago - nothing updated since so now down to two stars:

This is a good update over the previous version. Much faster and snappier, quick to connect and some useful features.

However, if you leave it open then go back to it the next time you want to see the cameras, all cameras are blank. What I do is close it after viewing, then open it when I next want to see the cameras. As it connects quickly this works OK. The zooming is a bit counter-intuitive but manageable.

The most irritating part is when you're trying to look at recordings. The time bar at the bottom disappears after 2-3 seconds and you have to get it up again to move along the time bar. Leave it there permanently when in recording view.

Also, on the Mac app you can get it to jump to the next trigger on the timeline; in the iOS app you have to find the triggers manually. Also, the timeline colours used are rubbish - little or no contrast between the continuous colour and the trigger points.

The app hasn't been updated for a long time (bugs not addressed) so only three stars. If the developer would like to discuss further, please contact me.

Bad system

We have two CCTV systems, one Xvision and one Hikvision. The Hikvision one has been no problem at all, plugged it in and it worked, from day one. Had the Xvision system installed last year and it’s been nothing but trouble. The system is exceedingly difficult to get to connect online. We have to switch the NVR off and back on to get it to go online and on playback, the recorded image jumps. I have just had to contact Y3K who supplied the system and they want me to reboot the whole system and change the IP address. Agrevation I don’t need which is why I paid someone to install it for me!

Won’t connect to XIQ CMS mobile

I have change my internet and I cannot get the CMS mobile to work on my phone. I’ve looked everywhere and there’s no user manual on the web. It still works on my tv but the viewing on the mobile is handy

Overall Good Software

Usually consistent and great to access from away from the office for a constant stream, occasional lag but nothing special, sometimes fails to load camera which requires a restart of the app, other than that, good app and functionality. Been using for months so a thorough test has been completed.

Frequently crashes

We are using the app on multiple Apple devices with latest iOS with 16 cam NVR. Loads images on multi screen and after flicking between cameras and going back to multi screen 16cam view, the app shuts down. Been using the app for over a year and it seems to have become more unreliable. Please could you investigate

Great quality images

Very impressed with the quality of the picture on the cameras as a standard view, as with most digital pictures the quality depletes as you zoom in. A Chrystal clear image👍
