Since last update it’s significantly better!
I use to have problems getting this app to behave but since the last update it is significantly better, it records correctly and reliably displays all my cameras in HD. I have now moved back to using this software for all my camera settings, previously I ditched it for iSpy which worked but was poor quality for viewing remotely, relegating this app for occasional viewing when I could get it to respond. However now this app uses a fraction of the resource iSpy uses and works well. It is again my preferred choice for my security camera software.

Easy to use
Great little app for a really good camera system. Recently had a very serious crime in our street and using the app the police were able to quickly work out the best camera which we downloaded to an external hard drive. The only issue I have with the app is if you minimise the app on iOS and come back in the cameras take around 10/15 seconds to refresh. I find it quicker to close the app and reopen

This new app is really heavy on resources, compared to the old app it is very slow to load up the app and when it eventually does, it doesn’t present the images in real-time. Viewing previous recording with this app is almost impossible to say the very least. Flicking through all the different pages to get to a particular data and time is a difficult process and when you do get to the required time the weight on resources makes viewing impossible.

Takes ages to connect to live view
Most of the time it takes ages to connect to my camera system even when I’m on the same network. If I get an alert on a perimeter setting I have it takes what seems minutes to connect and check it out and by the time I’ve managed to connect the perimeter situation has passed. On very rare occasions I can connect straight away

Great software but something about iOS 13 isn’t right
After waking to find my phone had decided to install iOS13 (oct19) this app, one of my most trusted tools, is no longer working. All camera feeds just display broken up and distorted images. Would be nice for Apple to resolve this and put more focus on stability and speed over a new set of emojis or a crap new set of icons... without just blaming the developer.

great improvement
Initially Had lots of problems with this app following the latest upgrade of apple ios. However the system has been modified and is much improved from the original one. Good work Paul.
Problem after io13 update
Hi, the app has been working great but since the latest Apple update, I can no longer see my cameras on mainstream and it’s distorted. Can see on substream ok .... any advice??
The updated App works great and is much easier to use for reviewing past footage 👍.... if I had one criticism, it would be when you have few different sets of cameras on your phone, if you keep the app open in the background when you re-view the app, it only refreshes the set of cameras where I’m currently located. To load the others I need to fully close the app and reopen again ??

Poor update
you can no longer see motion activations by individual camera.
You just get one bar representing all - pointless.
Instead of selecting all your options for camera at ones you have to pick each one in a different screen.
You can no longer simply review motion from previous days quickly.
The old software was far better ..
I’m buying another camera system so I don’t have to put up with this rubbish.
Developers should concentrate on functionality and not pretty colours.
Bloody shambles that keeps crashing too. Can’t even view all my cameras on it, without it crashing
On the old system you could change to sub stream and watch all motions on all screens with four bars representing each camera , now we have to individual pick the cameras and have no idea which one the motion refers to .
That’s the end of me buying any more Xvision cameras and software.
Unprofessional childish programming with basic errors.
I will send my complaint to XVision too, so they can see the mess you have made , and the customers they will lose.
The only good thing is that you updated this shortly before I was going to buy another XVision NVR , I’ll buy another make now.

Regret
I really regret not buying an alternative system. It worked fine at first and then I could not receive push notifications. In the absence of push notifications, Support suggested I use Gmail accounts to send and receive notifications. That worked and then Gmail blocked that because the app was not supported. So now I am not able to receive notifications at all. This is phone iPhone X and 3rd generation iPad. I can still access the app and view but I don’t know how long that will last!
As for Support, they only work Monday to Friday, 9-5pm so I have to call them when I have a day off from work. Could they not provide Support on Saturday mornings?
It’s not a security system, it’s just a camera.
Stay well clear and buy something else.

Please remember my settings
This would be a great app if only it would remember the last settings. You have to drag the channels you want to view every time you open the app and it also reverts to the lowest quality image. On a CCTV app you just want to open it and see your cameras instantly, not mess about before you can view them - EVERY TIME. I'll give you 5 stars if you sort that out.
