  • Slight learning curve

I’m pretty sure it’s not their fault. With all of the things Tresorit can do you need to dig deep and spend sometime learning the program. But once you do there are endless possibilities. I think Tresorit listens to its customers and then creates those features. Is there anything more important this? I do not work for this company.

  • Poor Support

I've been using Tresorit for years, and overall has been reliable. However, my recent experience with their technical support has left me disappointed. For the first time I needed assistance, but their support team was unresponsive and difficult to reach. This lack of support makes me question whether I want to continue using a service that doesn't adequately support its users in times of need. Reliable customer support is crucial for any service, especially one that handles sensitive data, and Tresorit's recent shortcomings in this area have been a significant letdown.

  • Protects the files before sync

Client side encryption keeps EVERYONE else’s eyes off my files. Encrypting BEFORE the transmission of the files keeps it private even with proxies. Others send the files and then encrypt.

Client side encryption is the only way I’ll store my financial and estate files in the cloud.
  • Excellent

Great security. Easy to use. Tons of sprays space even for the free option. Highly recommended.
  • Minimally invasive while full-featured!

Meets my needs in a straight forward way. Less convoluted than others while filling the mission.
  • App is Poor, Not Terrible (Service Withstanding)

Mostly does what it says on the tin. But always in the cheapest possible way. For example, yes it integrates with iOS Files, but it does so in only the most basic “Hello World’ way and so most other apps that rely on rich Files integration either cannot work with files in Tresorit or require ridiculous circus acts to do so. Given the app change log is little but bug fixes for over a year, it seems improving the app has little to no priority at Tresorit and so this may be as good as it gets.

In short, if Tresorit the app is going to be a key factor for you in comparing Tresort the service vs competition, you should really take it through its limited paces and look at online discussions about its limitations and problems before deciding.

  • Love it

You guys. I needed a strong private cloud platform years ago when I found out my organization was deleting all my files from OneDrive. I knew this about a year ahead of time, so I quickly moved everything out and worked locally until I found Tresorit. Originally I came to them YEARS before, like 2015, and honestly was disgusted at how bad the UI was. It was so ugly. They also had weird catch phrases saying things like "your tresor is your treasure!" and stuff that put me off. Anyway, fast forward to late 2018 and I was *blown away* by how nice everything looked. Guys this app is awesome. Not only the app but the desktop client too. It's aero knowledge, secure, and looks so great. It's just so visually appealing i love it lol. I will give the app 5 stars for being amazing, but just be warned the desktop app is a little annoying. The UI is cute, but the UX isn't amazing. They have a minimum application width and height so you can't make it smaller than a certain amount, and that smallest level is actually pretty big. So because of this the application also doesn't work well with tiling window managers if you use those on your desktop computer. Also, their navigation center on the left is a little annoying because it's not super useful and doesn't disappear when you aren't using it. It just takes up a bunch of space for no reason because I'm not constantly going from the Tresors page to the recents page and back again. See what I mean? Anyway, kudos to them for giving it nice iconography and overall good UI. The user experience (UX) just could be improved. Either way I highly recommend them. I pay them a lot of money per year for this, so whatever haha I'd say I"m getting my money's worth.

  • Severely limited & unreliable

This is more about the service in general rather than this app. They charge $30 per month, then impose a “device limit”. The desktop app frequently crashes, and has lost data on two occasions. Doesn’t work when I need it. And recently they dropped the “unlimited file history” which was a major reason I got it. Going to switch to Dropbox with encfs
