  • Sequel

Omg i love this game it was so much fun! But where's the next part? I'm assuming that it will take a while to make a game, but ur last update was over a year ago! Again, I'm guessing that it won't take a year to make another part to the game but I don't know. But can you make another part because just leaving on to be continued is driving me crazy.

  • Extremely good!!

Everything in this game is excellent: game play, graphics, animations, sounds, voices, music and story.
And I was able to deduce for myself who the killer was, even before reaching the sequence in the game where the clues start to come together.
The game reminded me of Monkey Island or the Sam and Max adventures: humorous dialogs and great care in every detail. It is extremely easy to play the game on iOS (I played on an iPhone 5S).
I definitely recommend this game to everyone who enjoys "point and click" adventures.
And congratulations to the developers for such an excellent piece of art. 👍👍👍

  • Truly fantastic!

One of the most interesting and well made mobile adventure games I've ever played! The animations were beautiful, voice acting very well done, and the music was atmospheric and astounding! If you love mystery, puzzles and adventure games you OWE it to yourself to play this one. The only downside was how short it was, I want more and can't wait for the sequel!!!

  • Amazing.

I've been looking for good point-and-click games on iOS for a long time, and compared to masterpieces like Monkey Island, they almost always fall short. Detective Grimoire, however, comes pretty damn close.

The art, the sound (!), the plot, and the dialogue are all top-notch. The gameplay mechanics are also great -- other than, well, pointing and clicking, there's also interesting puzzles and "thought process" sequences that I enjoyed. In true detective form, the ability to present clues and suspect profiles to different characters at different times was fun, and meant that I wasn't done talking to each character in one go.

Some criticism: the puzzles were very short and easy. In future games, upgrading the length and difficulty of the puzzles would be appreciated. Also, in a game like this, it's common to complain about the length. Yes, I would like it to be longer (I finished it in one extended sitting). However, based on the quality and price, I think the playtime was fine.

Overall, if you like point-and-click games, murder mysteries, detective stories, or you simply want something more than mindlessly crushing imaginary candy, DEFINITELY pick up this game.

P.S. Who was that mysterious little girl? And why did Echo spend so much time in his tent? These are the questions that haunt me at night. :P

  • Wow.

This was a game that I found on my appsgonefree app so wasn't expecting much. I was so wrong. This game is amazing so far; the characters, story and design are all perfect and I love the funny options you can choose from to say as your character! Even though I got it for free, I would easily pay for it. Have been playing it for the last hour and only came off because I have to! Seriously get this game.

  • Great!

Fun and excellently voiced!!! The game is simple and short but the humour is what's important and interesting. Great choice for a main character and supporting characters (like the sexy memorabilia seller- very subtle and nice combo of graphics and audio to evoke additional meaning!). A lot of fun :))

  • Where is the sequel?!

This game was recommended to me by my boyfriend after he noticed it on Apps Gone Free. He knows I love a good mystery game so he thought it'd be a win. I was a little more reluctant. I've only ever truly enjoyed one mobile game (A Dark Room for those wondering) so I wasn't sold on this one yet. But upon starting up the app and seeing how incredibly detailed it was, my heart began to sway.

You play as Detective Grimoire investigating a murder at a quite unusual tourist attraction. You meet several quirky characters all voiced exceptionally well. The game also features a few mini games and you are investigating and piecing clues together. It didn't feel like I was being led to a conclusion... It felt as if I was coming to it myself.
The game's overall artistic style works wonderfully with its dark humor. I wish I had the opportunity to play a longer version on a different platform (PC, console, etc.) but I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who likes an old fashioned mystery with a twist. This will certainly inspire the detective in you.

  • Superb!

Absolutely fantastic! I'd never heard of this before but stumbled across it by accident. It is a fantastic adventure with a superb story and wonderful animation and audio. It's amazing that this was created by such a small bunch of people. I really hope there's a sequel to this. Stunning!
  • Awesome

That was fun, I couldn't put the game down.

I'm looking forward I the next instalment.
  • Witty, fun, and very clever

I had so much fun playing this, and as with any good game, was sorry to see it end. The voice talent overall, but specifically the lead, was top notch. Really good comedic timing and inflection in the detective's voice. I thought the artwork was a lot of fun, the layout of the game engaging, and there was a nice balance of puzzles. This was so good I did read the credits fully and went to the SFB Games website to see what else they’ve produced. I’m looking forward to seeing more from this talented team.
