I downloaded this app expecting to be able to rent movies as that is the key function of the app— in app purchases are “unavailable” on my device with no clear reason why this is the case which is extremely frustrating and completely destroys all functionality of the app.review man 1937

Download shows and movies - Doesn’t download properly, very slow download speed. If downloaded, the app requested to connect to the internet in order to watch the content… I’m sorry but what’s the point of that?
The movie and TV show Library - Only shows the content titles in alphabetical order. Can’t view by purchase date so if I got something recently, I need to scroll for a very long time to find it in my library.
I miss the old Google Play App, it was not perfect, but at least I could use it. These problem I mentioned above has been happening for a very long time and it doesn't seem like Google will fix it anytime soon. Such a shame.Show lesslltwl
Not worth your time.
The experience of watching a movie I rented through this app has been my worst streaming experience of all time. Currently, the movie is paused while I’m typing this due to poor quality streaming and buffering. The movie keeps pausing every few minutes, for at least a minute or more at a time. Typically, I use other streaming services and have never had this issue before. Additionally, once I rented the movie, I was not able to play it directly on Google play on my TV, and I instead had to download the Google play app on my mobile device, just so I could cast the movie to my tv. It has been a pain to say the least. I will be steering clear of this app in the future and do not recommend it.Show lessLex. O

One of the biggest reasons I would purchase movies from this app was because google was “universal” no matter the platform/device I was using. Also it was so I could download movies for offline use when traveling, camping, etc. When I try to download a movie it almost never works and if it even says that it did download, it wont let me play the video. Why is there even a download button in the first place if it doesn’t work? I don’t want a “sorry to hear that” or a “give us your feedback” or a “Here’s a troubleshooting guide” robot reaponse. I want you to fix the app. If you look at all the recent reviews, there aren’t many good ratings….. I think that should be a tell tale sign for you to fix your app for your customers. Purchased episodes not working
Why I can only see certain episodes that I’ve purchased on Love and Hip Hop Atlanta I don’t know what’s going on I purchased the whole Season 10 and I can’t even watch it it’s something totally different half the episodes are locked I purchased Season 11 episodes 1-9 and can only watch maybe 3 episodes the rest are locked if I push watch to look at a episode and it goes to google tv I can’t get episode I purchased can you please fix this issue it’s been like this for months I should be able to go straight to whatever episode I purchasedShow lessAshes3684

I downloaded all of my films so I could watch them on the plane and hotel when I was in Turkey. I usually download on Netflix, Prime and Apple TV as well so I have a range of different things to watch. Weirdly enough it wouldn’t let me view my content on this app as it needed an internet connection, kind of defeats the point of downloading your films to your phone. Useless app really for taking away on holiday. Won’t be using it again as all it done was use up memoryShow lessHayesben

I bought a 1TB iPad with the intention to download all my movie libraries onto it to watch when travelling and trips away. None of the movies on this app stay downloaded and constantly have to be downloaded again and again, which I have now given up on.
This is so frustrating when you’re away and have little or no wi-fi, so I have a lot of movies on this app I cannot enjoy whilst away. I’ve had to buy some of these movies again from the iTunes catalogue so as they’re available for me to watch offline.Show lessTrigger14
Stupid
Wanted to see if I could watch 2 things on here that can’t find anywhere else, one was unavailable and one was that I couldn’t even rent coz it shows in app purchases is unavailable on my device like come on689302$3
See my library however cannot play any movies
I am disappointed in this app. After the last update I can no longer play any of my purchased movies. Google TV sends me to other providers which asks me to pay for movies I have already purchased (via Google TV).
Not liking this app. It appears I have lost access to all that I have purchased.GBD99

Haven’t even thoroughly used this yet.. was just looking for the Google play app in the Apple App Store. Didn’t actually think it would be in there.. Apple being Apple. (No judgment.. LOVE APPLE). So many movies I’d bought in my library before I came back to Apple.. What I got with this app, was much more. Very nice, extremely pleased.Show lessKenneth.G79
