It doesnt work
Getting better but still a good way to go
I’ve been with IP vanish nearly 18 months now. This is the third vpn service I’ve used in the last couple of years. In that time I’ve seen the servers get a lot faster but at the same time the number of times I’ve had to reinstall the vpn configuration in the IOS settings is no joke. Trying reboots as well to get it to work. It’s been hit and miss with watching TV when I’m out of the country. Sometimes I get blocked others I don’t - as you can imagine you just want it to work without fail and not have to mess around every time keep trying to test different servers and locations. I’d like to think that by the time it comes to my next renewal they’ve ironed out these problems - if not I’ll be trying another provider.

Quality Product
It's a good quality product that does what it says. Tech support is responsive to issues when they arise, usually after system updates! But the follow through professionally. 4* because there's always room to improve!!

I’m impressed with the service it provides
All I’m going to say is that IPVanish does what it supposed to do and very good at it. The same people who provides the internet connection are good at keeping the connection clean and alive but hackers are the worst enemies of us the internet customers. IPVanish is there to help. I recommend it to anyone who wants to keep their privacy intact.
The App is easy to install and set up. The account is transferred from phone, tablet and desktop with such ease access and setup it was really comforting to do. Don’t know much about the business and the background of the app but from the website was berry simple to access, setup and activate. My trial is finishing sometime in the future and it looks like I’m keeping it for the next year.
To anyone who may be apprehensive just get a few months of service for a try out, if you’re not satisfied cancel or let it expire and forget about it. You probably end up keeping it if you’re busy with work and money through your devices. Hope this help someone someday.

Great servers, bad software
There are quite a few things wrong with this app. The worst is that it disconnects from VPN without warning, and doesn’t tell you. If you want security or privacy from a VPN, you need to look elsewhere
You can set it to automatically connect, but then you can’t access any site or wifi network that blocks VPNs.
There are various other bugs and weird UI issues that don’t seem to get any better from version to version. Wish I hadn’t paid upfront for a year.

Expect problems
Drops out a lot. Now has suspended my account and cannot update billing details as link doesn't work. Automated emails with link to customer support that also doesn't work. For a self proclaimed large vpn provider very poorly run.
Took my money and disabled my account
I purchased a 3 month plan and set this up on my ipad. All worked great. I then installed it on my phone and computer. Everything was working great until today. Each time I try to connect nothing happens, its the same on every device. I logged into their website and was notified my account has been disabled and asked me to update my billing information. When I try I am unable to. My account has been disabled without any warning. They took my money for a few days usage.
So far support has not got back to me, its been about 12 hours.
I only use this for surfing and only use the UK server.

Happy until account was disabled for no reason!
Product seems decent and the interface is easy to use. Apparently there is an issue with the account set up though if you sign up through the app. I signed up and created an account through the app, paid my $75 for the year and it worked great for about a week. Now, the app has stopped connecting and when I log in to my account on the computer it says I need to update billing information however it doesn't allow me to change my billing info since I paid through iTunes. I've been emailing customer service back and forth but the lack of understanding of the issue and the time between emails is very frustrating.
Update: After 4 days of emailing tech support back and forth and posting this review; they got my account reactivated! Bumped the rating up to 4 stars because the product itself is pretty great and it is easy to use. Only issue I have is the time it took to reactivate my account.

Works fine for me on IOS and Mac OS
As a non-technical person the interface is borderline complicated, but I can eventually get it to do what I need. It could do with a little more UX work but has improved over time.
Functionally fine. Starts. Stops. Performance seems fine - no noticeable degradation.
