Only wish I could change the background. Also there seems to be only one session.
I’m not too peeved with the background but the session is bothering me. The app promises more but they never came. I was tempted to give the app 4 stars because of this. I downloaded this for the timer and it’s great for that! But I’d appreciate sorting out that session problem, maybe just removing the promise from the app. Or giving us a couple more sessions, or removing the guided meditation component to the app altogether. For such a good app it’s surprising to me that it has this problem.

Exactly what I was looking for
I've been meditating with guided meditations using another app and had gradually transitioned to unguided, but was frustrated by the expense of that app and looking to transition to a non-subscription based simple timer for unguided meditation. This app is perfect for my needs. I can adjust the time, the simple gong at the beginning and end of my meditation time are perfect - of course nothing sounds like the invitation of a live bell, but this fits my needs perfectly!

Ambient sound function design is poor
The app is simple, functional. It could be excellent but the ambient sound operation is poorly done. I select a sound then go to main screen to press gong and the background sound shuts off. When I go back to look the sound I selected is deselected.
Better operation-
1. I select a ambient sound and it stays selected and operational until I select a different background or no background.
2. You could remove the ambient background on/off switch by having silence as one of the ambient sounds.
There would then always be a background of selected silence or rain, etc which would turn on and off with the meditation signal gong.
Also add more possible ambient sound tracks. Such as birds, crickets, etc that have been recorded from natural to remove repetitive “loop” sounds that can lead the mind to seek the pattern.
Better operation-

Superb in so many ways but...
This is a wonderful app - one of the best meditation timers I have come across. The only down side is the lack of a pause option. There are rare times when one has to pause the meditation (doorbell ringing etc.) but you can’t pause, only stop and then you lose the timer completely. Having this option would make it perfect!

Love this app
I started to consistently meditate last week. After doing the starter guided meditation for 30 minutes my body pains were gone that day. I haven’t felt pain free for many, many, months. Having my own business and dealing with clients add stress. Although I workout, apparently, I was not releasing mental stress. I had pain everywhere and I do not like to take drugs; therefore, I just deal with it. Some days, I do yoga ad gentle stretches too. But still most days I’m in pain. I can’t believe the very first day I did the guided meditation my body was so relaxed. It seems to be the only thing to give me deep stress relievers. I love the ability to use the background sounds and can rely on the timer to go off with the gong sounds I choose. So I am meditating daily anywhere between 15-30 minutes a day. Thank you developers. I appreciate this app. Namaste.

A handy, basic meditation tool. Simple to use, with calming background soundscapes. Timer and bell options allow you to be in control of your sit.
Simple and effective!
I have been meditating now for over a year. Just had a visit with my doctor and my blood pressure is way better overall. And even after three minutes of meditation, my blood pressure will drop 10 to 15 points both diastolic and systolic. Western medicine likes to call it mindfulness because they don't want to be stereotyped with Buddhism.
I do not believe every single thing of any religion. I try to take what is beneficial for my soul and spirit from each.
I am sorry to my friends and family who feel from their different religious viewpoints that I will go to hell. That makes me a little sad, but I am learning to let go of things I cannot control. And one of the big things I cannot control is other peoples views. I have also learned to really stop judging others and myself. Most of us intend to be decent people.
You may want to try to meditate to have more peace in life. Not trying to be preachy, I guess I just care about people because I know what it's like to have severe anxiety. Meditation, like anything it takes time to learn. There are a few types, find the one right for you.
I wish and pray for peace, love, and all good things to everyone.

Fantastic Meditation App
I’ve been meditating for years and finally decided to look for an app to just cover the basics without adding too many options that often confuse meditation practice... This app is perfect!!! It gives starting sound, adjustable interval time sounds and ambient background sound all that have different options to configure the perfect meditation experience!!! I highly recommend this to both beginning and experienced meditation practitioners!!!

Just Brilliant!
Wow, wow and wow!
I downloaded this app last night to do some Yin yoga to. Set my timer to 3 minutes per pose and 45 minutes for session. Just brilliant. No messing around pushing buttons on phone (or annoyingly not).
Then I remembered about the ambient noise so tried a ‘hero’ pose with Ocean waves. I was gone! In a good way.
Really like the ambient sounds without cheesy synth music as that detracts from the experience so well done again for keeping it organic.
Looking forward to 1hr 30mins sleep with ocean waves on to see if I relax more.
Brilliant well done. Ticks all the boxes of what I was looking for.

For yoga users who ‘kind of’ meditate, could we perhaps have a choice in timers; a yoga timer with 30 second increments instead of a minute. Bit of a jump in time holding very stretchy poses.

No sound without headphones
I can’t get this app to produce any sound unless I use headphones. Part of the point of a meditation timer for me is to be able to not use headphones. I’m looking for a timer only, not a guided meditation. The app looks great and has great features but unfortunately doesn’t serve my needs.
