Great app, could easily be better

Nice interface, easy to use...but why is the total meditation time limited to 90 minutes? It would be so easy to allow us to choose it in a wider range. And while at it, maybe use a dial/wheel to choose the hours/minutes instead of a slider, which is more difficult to set accurately. Nevertheless, thanks for the app!

Can’t change the ambient sound or the starting sound

Otherwise I like how you can have a very simple short meditation set to the length of time of your choosing, which for me started with 2 minutes!

Nails the basics, interface could be improved.

This app does exactly what you need from it. You can set the amount of time you want to mediate and set an alarm to end the session; very simple. The interface is set up with different pages, but personally I think this app only needs to be one page— perhaps this is personal preference.

Very helpful

I have high BP & adhd. Not a meditating kind of person, but I’m finding this helpful. Through slow breathing I can literally decrease my bp by 20 points. I love the banners that pop up and remind me to focus on my breathing, I’m really surprised at how tense and shallow my breathing is when those message pop up.. maybe I can meditate after all🤔
thanks for this: the app works well!

Fantastic

It does exactly what it says it does, it's easy to use, and it doesn't have annoying ads and popups. My meditations have improved a lot since using this app! Love it!

Great Timer

I’ve used this app for several years, and I love it. I especially love that you can set an interval timer sound. I also appreciate that the lights can be set to dim during sitting. My only complaint is that one of the bell sounds has a slight background hissing and the audio file abruptly cuts off – it would be nice if the sound would fade rather than cut off abruptly. But overall, I love it and I’ve recommended it to multiple friends.

Simple and free -- thank you!!!

A no-frills meditation timer that lets you chose the total time to sit as well as intermittent chimes for focus, with or without a background soundscape. I don't use the background sounds so can't speak to that feature, but the timer works perfectly, the sounds you can choose from are lovely, and at this price (free), what's to complain about?

Helpful

I’ve meditated off and on for over 25 years. Lately, Ive been trying to get it to be a habit that sticks beyond a few days, weeks, or months. I always feel my best when meditating regularly.

For me, having the bell at the start and signaling the end is a big help. I’m staying at five minutes until I have the habit solidified. Too often we set goals that are too high making it easier to put off the action. I’m still missing days, but I’m being easy on myself about it and keeping on rather than giving up over a missed day or two.

Problem with sounds

I like the simplicity of this app, ability to keep notes and to keep track of how often I meditate.

I bought this app because I was having trouble with the sounds on the free version. The problem still persists. I selected “Tibetan Bells Long” to chime three times for my ending sounds. It only sounds one time followed by a solo “Tsingas”, which was the same problem I was having with the free version.

I’ve tried reinstalling and changing settings to no avail. I would give the extra star to the rating if this were corrected.

I would also like the option to control how the app projects sounds through, be it through the phone’s speaker, a Bluetooth or aux connection, from the app itself.

Thanks!

Simple, truly free, no social media

Just what I was looking for! A simple yet beautiful meditation timer with no registration or social media log in required, no ads, no attempts to get you to upgrade to a paid version. Truly free and I will therefore happily and gratefully donate to support the developer.

Had been using a paid version of Insight Timer and got frustrated with the redesign that really pushes a registration or social media log in. Looked at other top rated apps and they seemed complicated, with more features than I really wanted or needed. One even offered a monthly subscription. So glad I found this one instead!
