Hasn’t been updated in 5 years.
No useful features added - ever.
Really limited functionality. You can turn it on, turn it off, or look at it. Thats about it. You can’t adjust the timers. You can’t set the chemical levels. To do anything meaningful x as in the above- you have to do it manually. I recently had a quote as I may have needed to replace the gateway. $2000 Australian dollars. Not worth the money to achieve, well, nothing really.

Bad bad bad

I agree with many others, this app is bad, clunky and unbelievably slow. Typical business model of a dominant seller of product in the market to not offer any leading in the app, why would you need to, you have bought your overpriced pool equipment and there is nothing more.

Sluggish and in need of an update

The mobile app platform is incredibly out of date and ready for a revamp. Platform is sluggish and slow, and just a HTML wrapper.

For a platform that is still being sold and marketed by the pool industry, it is in serious need of modernisation.

The backend platform to connect equipment is robust, but the app has not aged well, nor had any investment in atleast 4-5 years.

Terrible Functionality

Cannot believe a market leader of technical pool accessories can get this so wrong. The pool & system supplied by Leisure pools was without a control panel near the pool. The control panel was behind the garage with the pumps approx 30 Meters away. I complained that walking often in the dark navigating around the pool fence in a bush block was not workable for me…. Let alone my young children. The pool supplier didn’t even think to pre-run a control cable to bring the user panel close to the pool and spa. The comment was “You don’t need it. Just use the App”. To start- not everyone will bring their smartphone to the pool…. Guests will not have access to the app or passwords needed for connection…. Finally, you cannot rely on the app. It has very poor responsiveness (BTW-I have excellent Wi-Fi connection and the system is hardwired) In my view it has lots of bugs that make it extremely difficult to use…because it is not intuitive and you have to constantly check if the settings have set correctly… Did I mention the incredibly frustrating lag between setting and response?

Very poor app

This app is extremely non responsive. For instance the spa can be heated quite nicely but when returned to the “all auto” or heat off function it does not actually do it. It keeps heating… the worst part of this app is that although the pool and spa are on seperate controls if the spa is heated the app also takes it upon itself to heat the pool - even when you can see on the app that pool heat is off.

Austral Pool Heater Connect Pool App

The original app worked reasonably o well and then disappeared out of the App Store. This new version has no ability to reset a password, if you have forgotten and there is no way of checking online either. I have an expensive pool heater, paid extra for the wifi module and it doesn’t work. Would be grateful for a solution.

Incredibly frustrating

On behalf of all Connect10 users, we beg you, please please upgrade this ridiculous app. It is so incredibly unresponsive and slow. Surely in this day and age you could provide some updates to improve performance and overall user experience.

Prospective users, I recommend staying away from this system and app until some serious improvements are made.

Ok

This app works fine. There is a bit of a delay that would be nice to fix but that may not be the app and may be the system. These super neg comments about astral sound like user problems. All of my system works great, four years in. Pool is crystal clear and nice and warm.

Completely useless products

Complete scam company. No end of problems and no technicians know how to fix things and say they aren’t any electricians or aren’t a plumber or aren’t familiar with astral equipment or blame pool installers its just a continuing nightmare. It even started smoking and they came out changed one thing, the next time i went to use the astral heater it blew up and tripped the power. It’s just a nightmare don’t do it and don’t dare complain or they will say the issues are the users fault and keep changing reasons why they want service or replace things. Honestly you may as well chuck thousands in the air with this product.
