Most powerful iOS email app

I love this app. It makes reviewing and filing email possible on iOS. It is incredibly customizable and does just what I want

The only mail client you’ll need.

I’ve been using Preside for the past couple of years and will never look back especially when it comes to mail clients on iOS.

It just works, the app collects no data from you, Rich the developer responds in a timely manner should you need any assistance & more importantly the app delivers all the features that you would expect from a email client (Except PGP keys) 😊

Other than that it beats all other iOS email clients hands down.

Keep up the good work Rich 👍🏾😃

Excellent iPhone email app

If you like “proper” email clients like MailMate on macOS you will love Preside on iOS. Highly customisable - as much or as little as you want. Actively maintained by an independent and responsive developer. Highly recommended - and almost all of the extensive functionality is free (with an option to support the developer if you wish). I would strongly encourage you to try it!

Excellent app, great customer support

I have used Preside as the app for my work email (Outlook / Exchange) on my iPhone since 2018. It's so much better then the iOS Mail app for handling lots of emails in folders, especially nested folders.

I recently upgraded to a newer iPhone and ran into a small glitch when getting Preside going on the new phone. I emailed Preside customer service, and within about 24 hours they responded with clear instructions that solved the problem. It's great to see a software company that stands behind its product, and offers such responsive customer service!

Best email client functionality

This is the best email app for iOS and iPadOS if you value flexibility and functionality over pure looks. While it looks a little old fashioned, it is incredibly easy to use and customise and the handling for folders (including for gmail labels) is exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommended.

Email organisation and responsive support

I have used Preside for several years to organise my many email folders. It is quick and easy – with intuitive suggestions for quick filing. Just what I need. A real bonus is that if I ever need help, the response is fast, helpful and personal.

Ads

It's too bad the ads they inject into your inbox view weren't mentioned, as I wouldn't have even bothered trying the app. If I wanted ads in my inbox, I'd use Google and save the $7/month, given they don't mention whether paying makes the ads go away or not.

That lack of transparency doesn't breed trust, so why on earth would I trust the developer with my email?

Response from developer

Please note that you can disable the 'app suggestions', regardless of whether or not you purchase Premium. This is accomplished by tapping on the 'App suggestions' line in the 'Miscellaneous' section of the 'Behaviors' preferences. Please also note that there is no lack of transparency here. Information about how to disable these advertisements is displayed if you tap on the Unsubscribe link near the bottom of the ad. There is also a FAQ about them, accessible both by a link next to the Unsubscribe link and an Info button near the top. The FAQ includes instructions on how to disable these app suggestions, as well as some other useful information. Please also note that these app suggestions are not 'injected' into your Inbox. They only appear within Preside, and the frequency with which they appear can be configured, or, as previously noted, disabled altogether. This option is available to ALL users. Please also note that the developer has no access to your email. All email information collected by Preside is stored locally on your device and nowhere else. Preside is fully private. No email information is ever transmitted to our servers, and the app doesn't collect any usage or analytics information. Lastly, please note that virtually all of Preside's functionality is available to non-premium users. I hope that, given this knowledge about how to disable the app suggestions, you'll give Preside another try. Please feel free to email us at: mail@preside.io with any questions, comments, or other feedback.

How do use this for years ever since it first came out can’t live without it

The name is absolutely perfect. This program presides over all of my files/folders. As an accountant I have many clients many folders, sub folders, categories. Trying to locate them on an iPad or iPhone takes far too much time. With Preside I just type in the first few letters of the folder and up it will pop. From this program, I can forward my emails, resend them, copy them, access them. I use Preside every day many MANY times. I tell all of my clients and friends and family about this wonderful program. The IT person for my office introduced it to me so many years ago and for that I am forever grateful!

The ONLY file folder predictive software, anywhere.

This software saves me hours each week.

I use it to clean up and file all emails that just need to be glanced , then use outlook if I need to be elaborate.

When travelling , this is my mobile office.

Have been using Preside and it’s predecessor Emailganizer for over 10 years

Not sure how I’ve missed this

By all accounts this app has been on the App Store longer than I’ve had an iPhone.

If you’ve just found it, maybe you’re doing your regular, and seemingly endless, search for a mail app that will do what you want and doesn’t smother its failings in cool aesthetics.

If this is you, you’ve probably found what you need here. Preside is an excellent app. It demonstrates just what’s possible with these devices. It makes the phone feel like a computer doing actual computing, and you can see it in the myriad settings available. I look at it and wonder what other developers are doing with their time when something like this exists.

I started with my imap account and later added an MFA Office 365 account. The former was straightforward and the ease with which the latter got configured was a really pleasant surprise. EWS and everything, not ActiveSync (but you can if you want), and not imap (which you also can if you want).

Preside has class.
