  • Most used

This is my most used app after regular text and email. I like that I adjust the volume at which it will let me know I’m done with my centering prayer. It comes with beautiful nature sounds and very appropriate short prayers.

  • Beacon of joy and hope

I am grateful for the ease of use and the resources hidden within, a treasure trove of prayers and readings to support my personal life and spiritual growth- Thomas Keating videos and wisdom community. Thanks to all who maintain and collaborative work on this! I am delighted in the “Great Web of Being “present here with you!

  • Surprisingly Versatile!

I love this app. I initially downloaded it to help me with the specific daily prayer practice I was cultivating, and it was perfect for that. Yet as the year (or more) since then has unfolded, I find I use it as a sort of “spiritual spot check” to re-center me at times when I get spun out or off in some way - I’ll just do 5 minutes in the car, or even during my work day. I have used it to share a meditation time with friends during a hike or while on a retreat. I use it as a prelude to a form of journaling I do as spiritual inquiry, inviting God into the inquiry through contemplative prayer before I begin my writing time. The sounds are good, the prayer selection abundant, and the directions at the beginning succinct and clear. Thank you for this app - I have shared it happily many times over!

  • One feature request

I’m really enjoying this app and use it almost every day. One feature I would like is the ability to add/type my own opening prayer. I like the many prayer options given, but sometimes there are specific items I would like to pray for as I begin. Thank you!
  • Prayer is Pragmatic

Prayer is the most pragmatic thing we can do in our lives to better ourselves and the world, because it is ultimately connecting with, and being in union with the Creator of all it is and will be.

This app is a very pragmatic way to enter into prayer. It allows one to avoid the distraction of looking at his or her watch from time to time, or a clock, but rather to simply enter into the silence and forget about the time until a gentle chime, or other some other soft sound brings us back. That is very pragmatic, in my mind.

Additionally, there are lovely articles regarding every aspect of either getting started or deepening the experience.

    Again, very pragmatic. Thank you.

  • Hearfullness Oxford UK

We love this wonderful app, and would recommend it to anyone wanting to deepen their inner life . We use it every day in our practice of sitting in silence with God , and find it enhances our commitment to this deeper prayer of the heart. The lovely words of encouragement , the quiet timings , and the chime of the singing bowl or beautiful sound of birdsong in rainfall ,draw us in to deeper resonance of prayer, and out again infusing our daily life . Thank you so much for this gift of enabling deeper heartfelt communing to help us ‘ live a life that’s greater than our own’.

  • Love this CP app

Love using this app each day, insights and prayers to inspire each day, helpful links to Contemplative Outreach.
  • My touchstone

Use this every day for my Centering Prayer practice. I like the way I can change my beginning sound and ending sound. And change my beginning prayer.
One suggestion, I would like more options for beginning and ending sounds/chants.
