  • Terrible app

I hate this app my dance teacher makes us use it everyday and I’m done with it.
  • Sponsors a racist homophobe

This company needs to pay better attention to who their sponsoring and having promote their app.

Earlier today, we were informed that a creator who works with an agency we have contracted has a history of transphobic, racist, and homophobic behavior. We did not directly sponsor this creator. We condemn in the strongest way any discriminatory comments or behavior. We are immediately ending our relationship with this agency and ending any sponsorship of this individual. Aaptiv is a welcoming, inclusive place for employees, members, and trainers, regardless of their race, gender and sexuality. We stand behind our LCBTQ+ community. We’ve made a donation to PFLAG, the first and largest organization for LGTBQ+ people, their families, and allies.
  • Nope

I bet I would’ve loved this app but they’re sponsored by a racist, homophobic, transphobic and sexist boy on TikTok I could never support an app that supports people like that

  • Absolutely brilliant app, but one accessibility issue

As a person with a vision impairment, I was so excited to find this app. I only downloaded it the other day and subscribed, so haven’t had a chance to use it to its full potential yet. The app is 99% accessible. The only issue is that VoiceOver does not provide any feedback when you are doing your weekly plan and selecting which days you want to perform workouts. The programs and browser tabs are accessible, but can be a little bit fiddly and somebody with minimal screen reader experience May struggle a little bit.

  • Thanks so much!!

Aaptiv is a great way to exercise! Love being able to just chuck my gear on and go for it at home,
anytime. Love the instructors. Really encouraging and fun, well thought out moves. I like the way they have made everything doable.

Thanks so much for bringing this into my life✨🌞
  • The Best Gym Companion!

I’ve had an Aaptiv subscription for about month now and I absolutely love it. I can’t afford a personal trainer and all the app subscriptions I was looking at were videos. I don’t know about anyone else, but trying to watch videos on my phone in a Planet Fitness just wasn’t practical for me. This was definitely the best solution. I took a leap of faith and paid for the whole year, planning on asking for a refund if I needed too, but I have no regrets! I’ve lost a few pounds and can feel myself getting stronger with every workout. And I feel like it’s helping me utilize the equipment to it’s full potential and I’m learning so much!! Two thumbs way up.

A few minor things I wish could be added to the app:

    - I have problems doing the stretches because sometimes I don’t understand the trainer descriptions. I’m pretty sure I do a lot of the stretches wrong and it would be nice if they had the little demos that the strength training does.

    - I REALLY wish all my favorite workouts could be easily accessible somehow so I don’t have to search for them every time. Which brings me to...

    - it would be nice if there was a way to search through the workouts with key words. The filters are awesome, but sometimes I’m looking for a specific workout and searching for it specifically would be nice.

Other than that I have no complaints! I’ve been telling all my friends about this and recommend it to everyone!

  • Great app, but ...

I have been a paid subscriber for a couple of years. In short, I love Aaptiv, but there could be improvements. Overall, this is an effective app with an eclectic offering of workouts. However, I want to add my voice to those who were disappointed when AAPTIV pulled many of the workouts. I was, and am, particularly chagrined about the loss of rowing machine workouts. Please bring some back or incorporate new ones! Also, the videos don’t always match the audio. As a predominantly audio app, I figure that is a cost of doing business and a work in progress. But some of the exercises in the stretching, yoga and Pilates workouts are difficult to follow (at least for neophytes). Don’t get me wrong the quality and enthusiasm of the instructors, the multi-level programs and challenges and the growing variety of workouts still make this my go to fitness app. But when it’s time to renew my annual subscription, I will compare to other apps and see...

  • Love this app

Heard about this app through ww. I love it! Money very well spent for a years subscription. I use it everyday. There are loads of different workouts with great motivational trainers who inspire you to push yourself. the workouts are short so easily manageable in a busy day and you can do as many as you want in one day the videos are really good at showing you the correct posture. I would definitely recommend this and have done to many of my friends

  • So close, yet needs polish

I’m still in my trial and at the moment I like it.

I really liked the coaches, and the Coach section is totally customisable. Don’t want to do Strength workouts on Monday? Just drag it to another day. Want to try another work out on another day? Just add it to the schedule. So many other apps ignore your own schedule.

But there’s a lot of little niggles here and there that let the experience down.

First, all the guides are in imperial measurements, if you’ve grown up in metric and your gym (yes, even a UK based one) has everything in Kms and Kgs, you have to take yourself back to school to do conversions.

Second, not every exercise has video attached to it, and you can’t view the videos in offline mode. I have no data in my gym (it’s two stories underground) so that’s a shame. It’d also be nice if it was specific about what equipment is needed - they generally say things like “Dumbells” but when listening the coach will say “you need two sets of dumbells at these weights”. It’d be great if that was known upfront as I prep.

Finally, the app, while looking great, doesn’t have all that polish I find I have to force quit it just to make it do what I want. Like you can’t seem to download a workout and go away, to look at something else. Or tapping an exercise card would stop accepting future taps.

So close to being great. I’ll probably stick with it though, I’ll just have to get out my calculator every now and then.

  • Security breech

This app has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Just bot after bot after bot. Fraudulent charge on my card and no one seems to care.

I can’t believe the lack of interest they took in my matter.

Check your credit cards as your app is not reflective of your actual subscription and the bots won’t help you.
