Poor - no Tube Exits substitute

Bought this to replace beloved Tube Exits. Wish I’d read the reviews first.

Feel robbed as no journey planner and fairly crap interface.

Appreciate this may not have been the app’s primary purpose but as others have said feel it could be a lot better than it is.

Unhelpful

Again bought this as a replacement for Tube Exits which it definitely is not. The developers seems to miss the point with their idea that you do not need to know where to get on. If you don’t know the direction the tube is coming into the platform at the departing station, how on earth are you supposed stand in the right place. Exit Carriage 1 is at what end of the platform you are getting on at? Sadly, the static information is too basic to be of any real use which is a shame. Just by showing the trains in the direction of travel it could turn into a brilliant replacement for the one we lost.

Very poor

This is rubbish compared with Tube Exits, as many, many people have said.
And no matter how many times the developer responds to reviews, saying we don’t do this or you don’t need to know that, the fact remains that the developer has created a very poor app. No amount of self- justification can get away from that fact.
So, instead of telling all the users they are wrong, why doesn’t the developer use his time actually improving the app? Making it more like the Tube Exits app it seems to have replaced would be a start - it was more useful with a better UI.
The developer may not like it, but they have got it wrong. The mark of a good developer is that they would now change the app to meet the users’ needs.

Same but worse

Got this app as a replacement to Tube Exits - not as good. UX is worse. Old app guided you from destination to arrival showing the train entering and exiting the station - you don’t get that anymore. You get shown a static train at arrival which isn’t as clear when you’re on the move. Gives you the same info as the Tube Exits but not anywhere as clear or user friendly. Tube Exits also showed you how to transit between lines - this doesn’t, you get shown a single destination.

Poor

The now deceased Tube exits did the whole route for you, this just tells you where the exit is on a particular platform, you have to work out which platform you are arriving at

Confusing

The old (free) version was so much better. Shame

Doesn’t seem to work

I don’t know if this is just me being stupid but this app makes no sense. I used to use and love an app called tube exits but it doesn’t seem to be available now. This app works in a slightly different way but when I follow it it doesn’t leave me to the right end of the train! Maybe I’m missing something but to me, it’s useless.

Response from developer

The App tells you where to be on the train at your final destination station (or where your best exit/change point is at an intermediate station along your journey. I've checked a selection of them just to make sure we didn't introduce anything in the latest update. If you've a specific example of where you think something's wrong, use the Contact feature in the App to tell us - it's possible that something may have changed that we don't know about. (We have not been travelling on the Tube for a year for obvious reasons). The other App you mention was a journey planner and worked slightly differently as you observed (and hadn't been updated since ~2015).

No journey planner

No journey planner and doesn’t show which way the train enters the platform so not user friendly and don’t recommend

Response from developer

We've always stated that we are NOT a journey planner. You don't need to know which way the train enters the platform at your destination, just the side to get out…

Walavate

If time is money then this app pays for itself very quickly!

Easy to use

Very easy to use app especially compared to other similar apps out there. Useful especially when you travel to lots of different stations in London.
